I just hope Pete Lets him compete for the starter, and i mean seriously. Not just say theres competition but it always be Tavaris job to lose
Please please tell me that you are joking.

No im not joking. Many people believed Whitehurst should of been put in as starter over Tavaris last season and when whitehurst got in he did pretty good but pete kept going with Tavaris. And its safe to say unless Flynn just blows every person away at camp *Fingers crossed* then Tavaris will probably atleast start the season. Flynn will have to take it.
As far as WR's.
Sydney Rice is the go to WR when he's healthy. He's 6'4
Then theres Mike Williams, hes 6'5 who was the go to WR before Rice got there last year. Then they swap out with Deon Butler, Ben Obamanu, and Golden Tate for slot. Deon is considered to be one of the faster WR's in the NFL, but thats just from ESPN talking heads so take that for what its worth.

Welcome to the great Pacific NW Matt..

Wow congrats to Matt
I can't wait to see how he does, it will be great to have a legit starter at QB in the nfl from LSU

Packers @ Seahawks next season.
I'd imagine that will be a fun game for Matt.

Ive said it before on here. Flynn is NOT the starter, atleast right off the bat. Tavaris started coming on at the end of the season. Flynn will have to impress majorly to beat Tavaris for the starting job. Much like all of you guys i really hope hes the starter by the beginning of the season. But he was brought in to compete for starter/back up. Hes not the automatic starter.

You don't pay a guy $10 million guaranteed to be the backup.
He's the starter.
He's the starter.

the Seahawks traded 2 second round picks and a 3rd round pick for a 3rd string QB who had NEVER played in a game. I promise Tavaris is the starter. Flynn has to win it.

Aren't you forgetting Doug Baldwin who showed a lot of promise as an UDFA out Stanford last season? He looked really good in the slot last season as well.

Never to be heard from again.
Best of luck to him.
This... good "money" move, but poor "football/program" move. Flynn's last big contract.

It may be viewed as an open competition, but it's really not. Flynn is the favorite going in and would have to be horrible in camp not to start. That's a fact.

I hope he continues to do well.

Matt has always impressed me as the next Joe Montana. Same size with an average arm and knows how to manage the game. He's probably the best QB game manager LSU has had in the modern era.

This, you don't take one of the biggest QB Free agents on the market and have him sit on the bench.
Also to some guy earlier in this thread, really? "Swamp Cats"? GTFO with that.
I think objectively Seattle was the better place to go (easier division, better WR corps) but I don't like them and I don't like cheatin Pete.
