I don't know about the Matt boys, but LSU is gonna be fine with JJ. He is an athlete and a competitor. I think you're problem is on defense...specifically the DL. Notice I didn't say your coach is a liability (jury's still out on that one).
LSU can still recruit the best players, and that's still how you win...if you have the best players, you're gonna win the most games. Even coaching won't frick that up very often.

I always thought Matt Flynn was a prototypical NFL quarterback. Good size, good arm, accurate, can scramble. He's not John Elway or Drew Brees, but he could be a Joe Flacco. Probably the best quarterback we've had since Rohan Davey and, yes, that includes JR.
ETA: It's really sad that rantards have to degrade the career of an LSU great in order to make a point about a current player. Why can't we evaluate JJ based on his own merits?

JJ is not a finished product. Let him stand on his own record. Right now, it's average, but could end up better.
MF's senior year much greater than JJ in every way. Individual stats are for the TO's of the world.

The JR/MF debate has been hashed and re-hashed over and over. I'm not going to argue it with you, especially after your asshat "you really don't know football" fig leaf of an argument. I'll let history speak for me. JR has been demoted in the NFL. He and Flynn are both back-ups now. I expect a greater fool will come along and take another chance on JR. He will fail that test, too, and then you can make excuses about that, too. It's a good thing you really know football because you're going to have to think up some pretty good excuses for JR's failure.

You can call me an idiot and think what you like, but the way I look at it is; a person that does this kind of finger pointing, usually has 3 pointing back at themselves. I don't JJ personally and he isn't a SEC caliber QB and he won't led LSU to a West Div. Championship and that means not SECCG, nor an opportunity to a BCS Championship. JJ is not LSU's future and that is honest opinion. He may start next season but he won't last, he isn't tough enough. Oh and he will never play as a pro! One thing I forgot to say, I told my wife, he has not the heart of a Tiger. BTW, how do you know what a sideways pussy looks like?
