Yeah, that didn't go over well with alot of the Bible Belt boosters in F'ville. "Never let 'em see you sweat".
I'm gonna tell you what alot of Arkie fans are gonna hang their hat on. Alabama (while whipping us well) only scored 17 points on offense. The others were a pick-6 and 2 special teams TD's. Excuse?...yes, 'cause that' how you win. But that is giving Arkansas some confidence. If, as I've said before, our lines can play like they have the last three weeks (or probably need to play better), do not go to sleep on Arkansas. All we need to do is run for 2.5-3 yds a play and hold our pass blocks for 2.5-3 seconds and we'll be OK on offense. Now, on defense, uh, we gotta play lights out.....i.e. Florida a couple of years ago. We can certainly do it, but with our preparation time kinda cut back because of the tragedy that happened Sunday, we're just gonna have to butch up and see what we can do.

One good thing being talked about in Arkansas is it's LSU's game to lose and not Arkansas' game to win. Miles is always good in these games / and Petrino has had LSU's number for the past few years. I'm hoping for the game of the decade (Hogs win, of course).
As OptimusHog says, I hate that you've run into a bunch of frickin' redneck idiots. My experience at the LR games is that LSU fans have always been ultra-competitive (talking shite) but with a grin on their face - all in good fun. Nice people, and they understand it's a game, one that will be played again next year, and the next. Here's to hoping Hog fans show the class we believe most of us have, regardless of the outcome of the game.

Rule #1 for any school....alcohol + dickheads = troublemakers.
We need to somehow win by two touchdowns and (and I can't believe I'm saying this), pull for Auburn againts Alabama. Otherwise, I'm kinda afraid a 3 point Arkie win plus a 'Bama stompdown of Aubbie could leave us at #3.....sh*t!
If our OL and DL plays well, it'll be a great game. One thing. If Miles doesn't let JJ run draws and sprint-outs then he's chewing too much of the wrong kind of grass. Our defense has always had problems with big, fast, running QB's (see $cam Newton). Hell, MSU didn't even play Relf last week and I thought that would be a key to them keeping it close. Who Knows.

Of all the sh*t that Miles gets, he is a damn fine coach...and I'm sure he realizes this. (But I hope not). Have a good Thanksgiving and we'll see you Friday.
He's just trying to stir up his 'Bama buddies so they'll chime in and boost his ratings. And don't forget, you are the best team in the country....we sure haven't forgotten.
Actually, most of your predicitons are quite fairminded. If our O-line can figure out how to run for 125-150 yds and give Wilson some time to throw, look out, it's goona get tight in the 4th qtr. Petrino is gonna have to figure out how to get Wilson some time...sprint outs, slants, shotgun shots down the seam. And if JJ doesn't do what he does best, play the "Cam Newton" role and use his legs, Miles is making a huge mistake. As much improvement as we've made on defense this year, a running QB has given us fits this year, even though Spurrier and Mullen got away from it when it seemed to be working. Good luck fellas, and please pray for Garrett Uekman's family. Good game I hope. WPS.

I know Les gets a bad rap as being goofy, but I can't help but like the sh!t out of him. The man can coach, and recruit.

I know what he was trying to do, not run up the score on the Ole Miss kids...not Nutt...the kids. We took a knee at the one-foot line last year in LR with 30 or 40 seconds to go - Petrino is smart enough to know this may pay off one day. This Ole Miss thing was an entirely different scenario.

Either way, I still think Les is cool. He doesn't give a sh!t what anyone else thinks.

Well, you'll have to excuse my ignorance....we're kinda new at this.

BTW, was Les rubbing Nutt's face in the sh!t by taking a knee with 5 min to go or what?

Does anybody actually know what the tie-breaker is? Do they make this sh!t up as they go along? Three teams from one conference can't go BCS bowling. That's gonna leave one of the top five teams (regardless who wins) out of the mix. What kind of bullsh!t is that?

Would this not be a hoot if we all finish 1-2-3. The BCS would completely implode, as ESPN and the like would try to explain....well, whatever they could. I have no idea what happens if we somehow win this Friday, apparently Alabama goes to the SECCG and we could wind up in the BCSCG. I don't know. It's too confusing.

Bottom line, LSU is the best team in the nation. Your defense is the best I've seen since, idk, USC in the early 2000's? NFL good. If we can protect Wilson then you may have to outscore us. All I know is, it sure feels good to be sitting at the big boy's table for a change. God bless Bobby Petrino.

And don't scoff at that. You guys remember what it was like when Saban came in and started something special. These kids know what mistakes against a #1 team can do....see the Arkansas/Alabama game.

Here's to a great game and more LSU turnovers than the Hogs. :)
C'mon folks, doesn't anyone here have any imagination? I promise if you grew up a Razorback you'd realize the goosebumps that Hog call conjures up.

I've been tipsy in bars all over the country and called the Hogs quite a bit. In Boston there was about six of us in this Southie pub, which was packed. We talked our friend (a local) to join us in a Hog call. We got alot of strange looks, but after we finished, we got a huge round of applause. I figured they had no idea what we were even doing. But this was just a couple of years after Nolan's B-Ball team won the NC and most of 'em said they recognized it immediately.

It may be annoying to ya'll, but it sure is fun when you've got a stadium full of drunken Hog fans whooping it up.
Yep. Nutt will be playing the betrayed leader to his troops. They'll keep it within 40....'til the 4th qtr anyway.
Ha! No shite. Where did that come from, anyway? At least ours is rooted in rural hillbilly life. "Soooie, soooie, pig soooie!" I can't believe none of you don't appreciate the fact that it's unique, and makes Hog fans' (and players) hair stand up on their necks. LSU is good enough to not be rattled by it, but for our players it's a battle cry, a call to arms. Gets everyone fired up. I love it.....God forbid we'd have something like 'Hoddy Toddy'. Damn.
Really. You go into BD Stadium and shut down 'Bama and 'you've lost swagger'? C'mon. That's the best defense in the last 10 years. Swagger is not the problem.

I sure do like Arkansas being in the conversation, guys. However, to be honest, our defense will still likely be a cross between Swiss and Limburger cheese...holes everywhere and smells like shite.

We 'should' win 10 games; Petrino has done a good job and is a true hard-arse. I'm just afraid next year is our chance to be somebody (BCS) with Mallett and all our WR's/RB's having another year under their belt...and our defense still looking like Ned in the first reader.

No link here, cuz. But I can tell you that there is no way in hell we should have kicked to him. Are you shitting me? He's only the fastest man in college football history. I love to watch him run, but I'm damned glad to see him graduate.
Outsider looking in......

As far as game-day fans go, I have NEVER had any problems with any LSU fans. They have always been drunk, loud, raising hell, and extremely polite after the initial 'we're gonna get you' jab. But, LSU fans understand that this is a year-to-year sport and remember where the LSU football program was a decade or two ago. It's all about fun.

Alabama fans are, for the most part, polite and genuinely friendly...but some seem to have this sense of entitlement. For example: "We deserved to get our arse kicked, 'cause with the talent advantage we have over Arkansas, we should have smoked your arse...our coaches/playcalling etc., etc,...or, we played down to our competition etc., etc."

Hey man, Bear Bryant was my uncle...and I can assure you he is no longer with us. He hasn't been the coach for 27 years. Find another reason to be somebody. Saban is good, yes, but we all remember the days of Perkins, Shula, etc.

JMO.
I don't know about the Matt boys, but LSU is gonna be fine with JJ. He is an athlete and a competitor. I think you're problem is on defense...specifically the DL. Notice I didn't say your coach is a liability (jury's still out on that one).

LSU can still recruit the best players, and that's still how you win...if you have the best players, you're gonna win the most games. Even coaching won't frick that up very often.
Gotta be pretty damn fundamentally sound, too. Have to be able to reset your feet and need a good arm. Also need to be able to see the whole field in a glance. I'd say most QB's in this conference are more than capable of this...so to answer the question: I don't know. An OC/QB coach would need to drill it into the QB's brain, as most QB's are lazy about their fakes, follow throughs, and footwork.
blackbeaver69, I would like to comment on your earlier profanity-filled insult about the original poster.........
