From one side of the equation. Matt has a problem with authority. This is not a secret.

Y’all have some serious revisionist history about Canada. I wish I could go back and bump all of the threads from y’all bitching about his gimmick offense.

There were concerns about our passing game to the WR's, and how that would effect recruiting. The game @ Ole Miss... fans were happy we ran for almost 400 yards, but there were complaints that we didn't complete a single pass to a WR all game.

Canada's offense runs hot and cold. At Maryland, he scored a grand total of 6 points combined vs. Iowa, Mich St, and Penn St... but he hung 45 on Ohio St in regulation and 34 on Texas.

I liked his creativity, but I'm not sure he was the long-term answer for LSU, even if he and O had gotten along.

Lol what a crock of bullshite this all is. Wonder what coaching staff he is going to try to rally to a mutiny next? Maybe he'll threaten to beat another HC arse in front of the staff again? Who knows. Fun times are never far away when you're a delusional a-hole like Canada.

Sounds like he's trying to rehab his reputation. Must be wanting to get hired again.

The fact that Canada's lawyer threw a holy fit to make LSU sign a non-disclosure agreement as part of his "buy-out" should tell you everything you need to know about the situation.

The fact he's unemployed probably says as much too

Meh. Typically both parties insist on an NDA with non-disparagement provisions in these instances. I think you're making stuff up.

That LSU signed it does tell me something about the situation. They didn't have to.

It's S.O.P., and LSU wanted one too. They wanted non-disparagement from his side too.

Can assure you that I'm not. If LSU told what actually happened, he'd be lucky to coach HS football again. Dude went from one of the most sought after coaches in the country to bot having a job or any serious offers. Do the math.

I can assure you that you are. If you think an institution like LSU would not also insist on having an NDA executed, you're being silly.

Do you dispute that Canada threated to fight coaches?

You may very well be right there. I'm not a lawyer, so I can't really speak on that, but I do know that his side was very adamant about the NDA. If that's standard and LSU wanted it too, then so be it, but the other statements are valid still.

“completely unsubstantiated rumor.”

Aren’t those always the best kind?

What? No, and what's more, I don't care. I'm a corporate lawyer. I'm simply telling you how these things work. Canada may very well have threatened to kill O. It still would not have stopped LSU from insisting on an NDA as well during the buyout negotiations. Again, these things are S.O.P.
