Give the kid a break. Unfortunately you win some and you lose some. He doesn’t drop many And I guarantee you he will learn something from that drop

Wrong guy. He’s talking about the TE.

The dropped sucked & Mason would be the first tell you that but the defense's inability to do just the basic fundamentals was the beginning of the end last night plain & simple.

For the record, I think the guy is a great player and has good character, just had a rough break.

Nabors dropped that 4th down. We were going to score the last drive.

The defense hasn't been able to do basic fundamentals all year. Why were you expecting anything different Saturday night

Yeah..

28-28

2nd and 17 and he probably gets the 1st after the catch.

Drive continues and we probably go up 35-28 and the back and forth goes on..

I’m just pissed that the defense pretty much did the same thing all game: Rush 4, no spy, Milroe runs for a 1st on 3rd and long.

Did House not see what we were seeing? It didn’t work all night..

I get what you meant. Football is like life, it has it's highs & lows. Mason's two games against Bama are perfect examples of that.

He was injured in camp and slow out of the gate and even missed a couple of games early. It seems like he just never got on track once he got back to 100%.

Hopefully he bounces back strong next year. With Nabors and Thomas gone, there will be a lot more opportunities for him and Pimpton at TE.

It was just over two minutes to go and we were down by two TDs..even if we scored, perfectly executing an onside kick was our only option at that point

The fact that our ends kept going upfield every 3rd down was head scratching. You would have thought that House would have at least tried to contain once on 3rd down but no. Kept doing the same things with a corner blitz mixed in. A blitz Milroe could see coming from a mile away & he would just run the opposite direction from it.

This. Not switching to a mush rush where the ends don’t push upfield and hold the pocket was just a huge miss.

As for using a spy, I don’t think they trust any of the LBs to do it and Perkins isn’t really playing that role anymore. The LBs were pretty bad last night, but that’s yet another indictment of House since that’s his position group.

He didn’t help but the beginning of the L was when the D decided to let Milroe run all over them.

It was a bad play but he didn’t lose the game. Our shitty defense did. Offense has to be perfect to win and it’s not fair that falls on them.
