He won the award because of his name.

Bro hate to break the news to you, but that award does not take into account future NFL games or your Fantasy team

Then sticking to college… he wasn’t even as good as Brian Thomas. Much less Nabers.

I quit giving merit to all these postseason awards long ago, especially the Heisman.

Nabers was the "on-the-field" winner. MHJ won the "back-of- jersey" Bilnetnikoff.

Delpit winning in 2019 is as crazy as Delpit not winning it in 2018. It was almost like a makeup call.

There is merit to this. I always remind folks that Delpit was hurt all through 2019 still made plays while putting his NFL future at risk. I can live with his Thorpe being a career award.

this guy is arse. Dropped 2 catchable TD passes today so far

Nabers meanwhile is producing with practice squad QB’s

While I agree with most of your post, it sounds like an emotional response about fantasy football

Nabers has 901 yards, 4 TDs
MHJ has 687 yards, 7 TDs

Nabers does have 43 more catches than him though. Hardly a bust or “arse” though

I had so many people upset because I said both BTJ and Nabers were better WR's with even higher ceilings. I said that I rarely saw MHJ get separation from DB's in college and that was going to show even more in the pros. Every catch he made was contested because he also appears to lack top end speed.

Also, let's remember that Nabers missed some games this year and had no OL, QB, RB, or any sort of help on his team when comparing numbers this year. The fact that he still has more catches and yards is crazy.

Nabers had better numbers in college also

As did BTJ as well I believe. Both of them were better than Marvin Sr’s son.

Much like Will Campbell - Marvin Harrison was substantially better his sophomore year.

Much like Grant Delpit- he got too much credit for the previous years production

That was a career award not a season award. They get a lot of these college football awards wrong

Yep. It was like the Thorpe award a few years back. Delpit was the best DB in the country his Sophomore year and didn’t win it, but won it as a junior in a year that he struggled some. Stingley was definitely the best DB on that team but Delpit still won it. It’s like you have to build your case before the season to have a chance.
