On the basis of Bama not putting away an inferior (undefeated) opponent?

Did he watch LSU last week?

Goes to show just how tough the SEC is...you just never know when an inferior team is gonna step up!

SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
JARRETT LEE
Quarterback
LSU
6-2 • 216
Brenham, Texas (HS)

. In his first career start, Lee completed 18-of-27 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns in LSU's 34-24 win against Mississippi State.
. His 261 passing effort was the most by an LSU freshman since Josh Booty threw for 280 yards in a loss to Georgia in 1999.
. Lee became the first LSU freshman to go the distance and win his first SEC start since Herb Tyler led the Tigers to a 38-9 win over Ole Miss in 1995.

I think he watched..

Okay mafia boy, how 'bout Jessica Parker Wilson....7/17 for 106 yds and 1 INT?

With Jesus Jones as a receiver, how can JPW be THAT bad? Maybe Tulane wasn't a fluke?

My observation of Wilson is that he is terribly inconsistent. One week he looks like the second coming of Joe Montana. The next week he looks like a Ryan Leaf clone. No doubt Bama will be a tough game for us this year, but the game could easily be decided by which JPW shows up.

The Moo St game was never in doubt.

Without a fumbled TD, a dropped pick 6, and a muffed fumble recovery; BAMA = OhSt & USC

It's curious how often an open date is tantamount to a win. KC.

Fine, then move them down, but LSU can't jump them by that logic, imo.

of course Holtz disagreed

I disagree also. I think LSU is a good team but they have yet to play a quality opponent. Auburn sucks and ironically has hung more points on LSU than anyone they have played. Another reason I would not put LSU above BAMA is because LSU has only played 4 games.

Don't get me wrong Bama is a good team but do you honestly believe they are better than LSU right now?

I think they are about equal. BAMA is definitely as good as LSU right now yes. I think LSU is the only team left on our schedule that can beat us if we play the way we are capable of playing. I think being down against Ky after the win last week is to be expected. BAMA has a good football team. Last year we would have lost to kentucky in a game like the one today and this year we won. It is hard to play SEC games every week and stay up for every game. We are 3-0 in the SEC after 6 weeks and that is good football.

Nov 8th will be a hell of a game.
