This is one of the worst things I have read heard here. This rhetoric is getting God Damn ridiculous.

By rule it was targeting.... but it did not have to be called..... a bad rule... not a bad call....

I don’t know about never being allowed back.

But I believe he really believes it wasn’t targeting(I refuse to believe he’s that stupid) and he is selling us out to fit in with his TV buddies...or going overboard to not sound biased.

Gotta love the rant. Bash McElroy for being a homer while bashing Spears for not being a homer.

I have yet to see an angle that shows that the helmets even touched...or that Whites helmet touched any part of Fitzgerald. Please show me.

I’ll take just telling it like it is. Homerism not required.

Bama has their homers and cheerleaders all over the media. They stick to the party line. What does our former player do? He makes fun of LSU fans and sides with the Bama people. He loves Saban more than he ever loved LSU.

And you wonder why other fan bases make fun of this one like they do.

Hypothetical Question

A) Saban loses to LSU and Bama fires him.
B) Saban beats LSU, and he keeps his job.

What does Spears choose? I say B 100 times out of 100.

Not nearly as much as we ridicule each other.

Man, oh man, do I disagree with you.

This is the line spouted by the talking heads (i.e. the same people who said the clock would have run out if D Byrd didn't catch the game winning pass against Auburn in 07 - - BTW, it wouldn't have).

Don't just assume bc somebody on TV said it, it must be true. The rule is FORCEABLE contact to the head and neck. I still don't see forceable contact to any place on Fitzgerald other than his shoulders (where D White shoved him). Again, if their helmets touched it was incidental contact to their face masks.

This call is worse than the PP7 no interception call (which the entire planet earth could see was an interception, but was also inexplicably upheld on review).

why, because he has an opinion different than yours?

The OP is a child.

Just saw Marcus on Thinking Out Loud. He says that Devin was clearly guilty of "targeting" but the Alabama tackling of the Vandy QB was not targeting. I have always been a great admirer of Marcus as an analyst and his work on the SEC network but this time he is completely off base. My opinion of him has changed.

Ok, wise guy, show me which rule was violated.

No helmet to helmet. No contact to the head or neck area. Please enlighten me on a rule against pushing a qb in the chest, because that would be a new one on me.

He’s trying way too hard. We get it big guy, you have to prove you’re unbiased. You’ve gone so far that now you’re....well....biased.
