The problem is Clark almost always tried to find a way to insert the other stuff into his commentary so it makes it really difficult to listen to him and, in some ways, I do think he lets his personal politics and social worldview affect his opinions on football only issues.

He’s got a good football mind.

But inserting his feels into every take subtracts his football knowledge impact.

Clark can STFU. Can't stand that man on TV.

He can be way too much sometimes, but at the end of the day he bleeds purple and gold. Dude cares deeply about LSU and is passionate about the continued success of the program. Can't help but respect him for that.

I can't agree with that.

Sure, he may bleed purple and gold but if he were really passionate about the continued success of the program, he wouldn't run it down the way he did in that interview. He makes LSU sound like the ultimate successful plantation. They win in spite of being a racist institution to the core that only hires old white guys to coach and doesn't give a frick about the people like him that work the fields every day. That interview just makes LSU look bad. It doesn't promote LSU at all.

And if he's so put out coming back to LSU to mentor our kids and celebrate our diversity, then don't invite his bitch arse back IMO.

ETA: Marcus and Booger are fantastic role models and truly are passionate for LSU and promote its continued success in every way. We're so fortunate to have them. JMO

Ryan Clark should be excommunicated from LSU

I think he went overboard with the SJW antics a few years ago and don't agree with most of his political takes, but that's okay. Having alums like him, Booger, and Marcus that love this state and are extremely outspoken in their pride and love for their university is a good thing for LSU

I could listen to Clark talk football all day long. He knows a lot and is very good at breaking it down. Don't agree with some of his political views, but to me that doesn't affect the respect I have for his football commentary.

Lot's of people here can't seem to do that except with a select few maybe.

Love him. Also, will never forget the lack of respect he got his junior year from the Gameday crew (who spent the entire year slobbing USC's knob). On the after-title-game broadcast, Corso kept saying "and then here came ol' #84" whenever they talked about the famous interception. It was crystal clear Corso had no idea who he was, despite him being an elite player on the top team.

I loved when he setup at Bama and asked them to explain why 2019 isn't the best ever.

Great tiger, great ambassador, and his pick six amongst other things cements his legacy at LSU forever.

Wait, hold on a minute. You're telling me that some people can have differing political views and still respect that person for other reason completely unrelated to politics??

He might as well have said, "LSU should have hired a black coach"

Name one black college coach that was more qualified than CBK?

It's not Fred Carter, Jr.?

He's better known as the father of Deana Carter.

When will there be a diversity survey for the roster? Asking for a friend. Ryan Clark is a racist.
