Stephen A. Smith barely knows anything about college football and jack shite about LSU. He probably has great intelligent opinions about the New York Knicks and I would listen if I gave a frick about them.

This board has been hard on Marcus at times. Right or wrong, he has been critical of the program in the past. However, nobody should ever question his love for LSU after that.

People would care because ESPN is still by far the most recognized name in sports broadcasting. People would complain the same way hockey fans complain because Sportscenter doesnt show enough NHL highlights. Stephen A Smith is the highest paid ESPN commentator and arguably the most famous so people like to hear him talk about sports they care about.
