Tiger Rant favorite/Notre Dame fan has chimed in...

Dick Vitale @DickieV · 3m Read about these minor charges that should have led to a a reprimand . It’s LAUGHABLE putting up penalty as a 1 yr probation. PENALIZE real CHEATERS ! We have coaches on record TALKING ABOUT BUYING PLAYERS yet the @NCAA worries about a coach taking a pic.

This actually should concern you, not Freeman. This sets up nicely to bury LSU for years with what the football team is being investigated for.

Freeman has his priorities; family first. He has a great job at a good pay rate at a prestigious U & stays close to family. No regrets at all.

Yeah, I'm sure he's really feeling it. All those kids with 30+ ACTs, manners, solid families and 2 tough games a year. What a nightmare.

"The NCAA found that Brian Kelly also had impermissible off-campus contact with a prospect in October 2019 when the player recognized the Irish head coach walking through a high school cafeteria in Pickerington, Ohio, and asked him to take a photo.

The NCAA said Kelly initially declined, before ultimately allowing the photo."

The rule about the picture with the HS kid is dumb.

Enforcing the rule when a coach breaks it is not dumb.

There are bad NCAA rules regarding recruiting, for sure, but every head coach knows them (or should!), and they all have to play by the same rules.
