If your friend is thinking about transferring should things not go well, I sure hope he isn't getting much playing time. Maybe you could convince him to go ahead and hit the portal.

I thought he left because he wanted to be a safety, or safety/ OLB/ pass rusher hybrid that he'd kinda been in 2019. But Pelini had him playing more as an inside LB.
He was initially on defense at TCU. The WR switch came in the spring I believe.
