I don't think they need that many players to switch over to the defensive side of the ball. They have enough there for depth like I said earlier with Ed Paris, incoming Kelvin Joseph and Jontre Kirklin who hasn't played yet, but should get PT this year.

When will people stop comparing our situation to Saban/Alabama? O will need to earn respect before people just start to give him the benefit of the doubt.

When will Rantards learn what the word "comparing" means ???

A Tard posts that Saban was dancing at a recruits house.

Another posts that Bama lost two commits, possibly at the same time that Saban was busy doing the two-step.

How is that comparing Saban to the LSU head coach? If the LSU HC wasn't living rent free 24/7 in the Tard's heads they may realize that it is actually not a comparison at all.

You don't seem to be grasping the point. When you ask questions like "What would LSU fans do if ____(situation occurring at Bama)____ occurred here?" you fail to understand that the two situations aren't comparable because they have one of the greatest coaches to every coach the game and he has earned some leeway, and we have Edward Orgeron.

Could you imagine the fun the "so-called" LSU fans on this board would be having if LSU lost out on two recruits who were actually COMMITTED ???

I think if we still had the #7 class and were able to poach one of the top recruits in the country from a rival as a consolation prize I'd be ok with it.

You can't grasp the simple fact that asking how the poster thought people would react if LSU had lost two highly ranked players who had been committed had nothing to do with the other school. It was a separate paragraph in my post and only mentioned LSU. Anyway, I don't have time to educate you on basic knowledge of the English language.

How can you possibly know what I fail to realize? You don't even realize that there was NOT a comparison of any kind in my post? You are trying to argue a point that doesn't even exist for the sake of arguing.

Good to see. Some had him as a possible transfer due to depth at WR. Athletic kid willing to change positions to see the field and help the team instead bolting. Hope he does well

Yeah, who knows it may work out. We are so deep at WR we would likely see someone transfer. This at least gives an athletic kid a shot at PT rather than collecting splinters and gives us depth.

Ideally we would want Surtain and Goodrich, but that ship has sailed.

It's pretty clear they wanted Surtain and Foster. For all the talk of Goodrich as an athlete, Netherly is longer and just as fast (though he has even less experience at the position).

It's certainly possible this move still would have been made if Surtain signed with LSU. Besides Marshall and Chase, Justin Jefferson and Racey McMath were two guys who tore it up as seniors against the best competition in New Orleans a year ago and were said to be ahead of Netherly in practice.

My thoughts exactly.... Bama still finished with the 7th ranked class and Georgia claimed the top spot. He actually doesn't comprehend that if Ed lived up to his billing as an ace recruiter and signed a top 7 class, the backlash would be minimal following the loss of 2 committed recruits.
