Who down voted me? What is wrong with my rant?

He could do the right thing and go to LSU and offer to resign after this year for the amount of the buyout. It would allow us to start a search. Miles is done either way.

You people are such pansies. Les should be fired, but it has nothing to do with yesterday's game. It's the first game. Most first games are ugly.

Why should he? He lost one game.

Nothing wrong with having a dream!

Man up Les...resign in dignity now..
So much unrealistic hope in this, even though I upvoted you.
1. Obviously he can't resign because he would lose his buyout. But he could easily negotiate a deal to "resign" while still getting his buyout, but that would look like he was fired. He is way too egotistical to go that route.

2. Of course that would be best for LSU, but even assuming he would somehow get over #1 above, why in hell would he suddenly, for the first time in his life, give a flying frick about LSU and do anything, let alone make ANY sacrifice of his own interests, to help the school he has done nothing but defraud and extort for the last five years? He won't, he never would, and frankly, he would give up money just to hurt us. The fact that we have been paying him to do it is just gravy for him.

LSU fans are not enjoying the product they once loved.
3. You are making an argument that is truthful, but as a lawyer trying to convince him, you would be killing your own case. LSU fans enjoying ANYTHING is the last thing he wants. If you are an LSU fan, I mean a real LSU fan who truly wants what's best for LSU, then what you are enjoying or what you want is the one thing he would sacrifice and go to the ends of the earth to prevent. He hates LSU. He hates LSU fans. The last thing in the world he wants is to help the LSU football program or make ANY fan of LSU happy.

4. Who is dumb? The guy who performed like an idiot, or the ones who paid him millions to perform like an idiot and now have to pay him millions more to stop?

Unranked Texas playing with a first time starting QB has put 37 points on 10th ranked Notre Dame. I think he's a freshman. That is why Cameron should do the right thing and resign. Miles should move Craig in at OC and when we lose 3 to 4 games this year should resign or be fired.

There is no coach that loves his school enough to make the disastrous financial decision it would be for Les to resign.
Spurrier didn't even love USC, but he did have enough pride and insight to know when it was over.

I agree but even les isn't dumb enough to resign.

I wonder if Spurrier lost money by quitting.
Not trying to crash your party, but I'm pretty sure the HBC forfeited his salary back to the University to help the athletic department or flood victims or something. Class act.
