I live in Atlanta. Every person that knows I'm an LSU fan (and strangers when I'm wearing LSU gear) are nothing but complementary about the Tigers. Maybe there's a better appreciation for SEC-style football?

Man, you must be hanging with the wrong crowd. I live in Austin now and pratically all my UT buddies are pulling for the Tigers now. Especially since 2009...ever since that BCS Championship Game, they hate Bama and Nick Saban.

Same here. I've got dozens of kinfolk in Texas and virtually all of them pull for the Tigers when they aren't playing Texas schools and in fact LSU is the preferred team for a number of them. Lots of LSU football fans in Texas.

my boss is one of em.... and he doesnt like lsu, but he is cool about it,, we always talk shite and argue, Texas hopes are on next year with the young qb and team they are fielding this season..
they still will get knocked on thier arse when they meet someone from the SEC post season!!

I guess Houston is better than Austin... But I get more respect as a Tiger here than I ever did in Lafayette, LA. All you ever hear there is crying from the red-headed step-cajuns.

McCoy getting hurt was the best thing to happen to Texas. Alabama was killing them on the LOS and his injury just gave them an excuse. Same with Florida and Brantley. I was almost having to watch that game through my fingers it was so gruesome.

The entire article in the statesman is hypocritical. He tries to make the point that there IS def played in the big 12 yet he goes on to say that 4 qb's are ranked very high nationally. To me if the conference would play d there's no way there would be 4. Another thing, Mack brown suggests the big 12 has better draft likely qb's, which he's probably right. Well you know Mack, just I'm the LSU/bama game IN ONE GAME there were 10+ defensive players who will be most likely first rounders at some point and when those guys get to the pro's they'll make your big 12 qb's look average at best.

Those teams, regardless of who the QB is, would not be putting up those scores on an LSU or an Alabama D. It's entertaining, but those teams would be middle of the pack teams in the SEC.
