I agree,Deuce, that in Div. I ball, you can't have co-coordinators...you need one guy who sets the tone, makes the demands on the players, and plots the strategy...you got to have one guy in charge...I really think that after Muschamp declined our offer...there wasn't one guy he thought we could get that he wanted...so he tried this co-yuck & heck, none of us know really where the breakdown is...but I agree, our DBs look lost alot of the time & that has to be on the coaches. I look for Les to name a single DC after the season is over. Les is loyal, but he's also a pretty smart guy.

We scored 38 points on UGA. 38. That should be sufficient to win.

Not when you spot the other team another pick 6 when you just worked yourself back into the game. I'm not saying the D was great, but they stepped up when they needed to and the offense screwed up. Bad combination.

That still doesn't explain why we gave up 41 pts PPG against UGA and UF.

I'm pretty sure the significant loss of players from last year does explain it. Our Dline is overrated. Has been for a while. We've been fortunate to have at least one amazing DT wreak havoc for a number of years. Now we do not, and the others are not dominant. Young dbs, lbs that can even understand man coverage, etc..it sucks. The DCs need to step it up as well, but this is not surprising.

Surely EVERYTHING a person says in a public interview is true and accurate. No coach or other public figure ever makes neutral statements that give the appearance that nothing is wrong. Isn't that where this emoticon comes from?

Only at LSU is it NOT surprising to be the only defending NC to ever give up 50+ in two games the next season - ever. Or to give up 24 to MSU who only scored 9 points (including a safety) the prior two games combined. Or 14 to AU's offense that managed 3 points against MSU and is in complete disarray.

I watched Ole Miss beat Florida. I watched a real defense with questionable talent hold UGA scoreless in the first half @UGA.

What you said is true. A few points though...Urban finally learned to use the rest of his offense after the Ole Miss game. BIG difference. Ole Miss front 4 creates pressure on qb...that changes any game.

As for the real defense against UGA...what about the 2nd half? Saban schemes not work anymore? Or did UGA finally get their heads out their arse?

Anybody who says this didn't see the game at all.
Defense is horrible at every level (line, lb's, secondary, coaching).

Im tired of hearing that the problem is having two coordinators and that we should promote 1 of them in charge. They both run the same shitty scheme that pelini ran except pelini's players played more disciplined. They both suck

It was 31 to nothing. You'll find in games it's a lot easier to score when the other team has a huge lead.

I never said they played great. They did create an opportunity for the offense to take the lead, right? Another pick 6? Right? Youth on D and qb...bad combination. One step forward...one step back. What I said from the beginning.

The opportunity to take the lead was a pick, not pick 6. The defense allowed UGA to drive down into FG range to make it 17-24. It then went to 17-38 without an interception.

The whole point of keeping these 2 figs as coordinators was not to change pelini's shitty scheme so that the players would not have to learn a new one. So after 4 years of the same system the players can't learn it? The players are out of place and confused and this is a result of a shitty scheme and even worse coaching.

"mallory and peveto doing a great job"

Sounds like GW saying, "Brownie, you're doing a great job."

Yes, because he has come to the brilliant conclusion that "dem dudes is just faster den ours." Nothing can be done about that.

Is this a joke?? Percy Harvin & speedsters Demps & Rainey. Name a few LSU Sateties or CB's besides true Freshman Patrick Peterson who is as fast a them. Might be a reason Harvin will be a really high draft pick?

Than we move to the Defense. Did you happen to notice Florida LB'er Brandon Spikes seemed quite a bit faster than any LB'er LSU has with the exception of true Freshman Ryan Baker? Beckwith is a great player, but Spikes is bigger & faster.

Knowshon Moreno, held in check for most of the game. But when Safety Curtis Taylor missed a simple tackle at the line of scrimmage - 68 yard TD.

Of course this is ALL Coaching Error according to you.

isn't this recruiting?

sammich

why can't miles recruit top talent to come to LSU?

When a president says that he has the utmost confidence in one of his subordinates it's always the kiss of death.

Remember "You're doin' a heck of a job, Brownie"? Well Brownie was out of a job a few months later.
