he never really got the bulk of the carries the 1 year he was healthy.

but he really had 2 good games, Ole Miss and Cap 1 vs Iowa.

but when he got carries, he ran people the frick over and ran by people.

over 6 YPC that year, 10 TDs. He was Cecil with 25lbs and the same speed and power

No, Jamarcus has a rare arm.

It's impossible to say if CC was the best ever but he was definitely special. Refused to go down.

CC is the definition of dying young before they can start to hate you.

Had he played out his entire career he would have been a good RB, but not compared to Bo or Walker.

IF Shep got hit by a bus tomm. LSU fans for years would talk up his abilities and 10 years from now we would say things like Russel Sheppard could have been the best QB ever he had no flaws. That is Cecil collins

can pick out 2 or 3 great games from a ton of RBs

that still doesn't explain why he was mediocre in 1AA and in the NFL before he went to jail

now i'm not saying he wasn't good, but he wasn't the best RB ever like many like to say

and he's not the talent that RP is

Collins just went through the motions at McNeese. He gave very little effort and was out of shape at McNeese. He was biding his time waiting on NFL.
He beat out Kevin Faulk, and was the go to back at LSU until he broke his leg.

Why can't you admit the guy had awesome talent and could have been great if his head was screwed on tight. Those videos in those two games are better than any RB LSU ever had. He could have been Walter Payton Barry Sanders good...the talent was there. 140K posts, you should be able to see that.

Very true. You never know how things coulda/woulda/shoulda worked out, but with Cecil there was not one single thing about his game that you could point to and say, "that will keep him from being the best RB ever."

Quite possibly the greatest waste of talent in the history of the game. And hands down the biggest waste I've ever seen with my own eyes.

What makes you sick, Cecil or the final score of that Auburn game?
I thought the OL blocking was as impressive as the running.
Just goes to show it takes a good head and good legs to make millions in the NFL.

Personally, I think Cecil was the best running back to have ever played at LSU. I think he would have been up there with the greats. Only player I've ever watched and been on the edge of my seat every time he was handed the ball thinking he was gonna rip a 60 yd. run.

I find it laughable that you would think that RP.....who has done jack shite.....has more talent than the Diesel. Obviously, that is opinion, but saying something like that makes me believe you don't know much about football, or you were not around when Cecil was playing for LSU....

Now make no mistake, he's crazy as a shithouse rat...but that dude was amazing.
