F- Bob Petitt
F- Pistol Pete
C- Shaq
PG- Tremont Waters
SG- Chris Jackson.

Went with Tremont for his ability to dish the ball. Both him and Chris could do both, but having Tremont make crazy passing around to this list would be insane.

Didn't even try to add Ben Simmons because like, frick that dude. He doesn't give a shite for LSU.

There are so many great tigers and everybody has a player they like better.

Just thought this would be fun.

Pete, Shaq, and Abdul-Rauf I think are obvious choices. A lot of different guys you could pick for the other two spots

Probably. Lol. Just did this for shits and giggles. Having Tremont , pistol and Chris shooting threes from every where would be fun. Added pettit on it since he is an all time great. Way before my time. I do know that pistols records should be so different in today's game. Didn't have a three point line in his day and heard he shot the ball from everywhere.

Petit being a hall of famer seems obvious to me.

I added Waters for his vision. He had so many no look passes for ally oops it was insane. Just thought this would be a fun team. Only problem would be who gets the most. shite, Jackson would push the ball up fast as hell, and drain it no matter where he was. Lol. At least Waters said he like asst more than points.

Move Pete to guard and bump waters to make room for rudy macklin. Then you’ve got 3 hall of famers and 2 college hall of famers. I don’t think any school can top that lineup.

Pete is a guard. No disrespect to Waters but replace him with Macklin as a forward.

and in my alternate universe, Randy Livingston never gets hurt and rounds out the starting five.

Simmons….not a fricking chance. Did nothing when he was here. Can’t shoot. No go to move. Overrated

The first five is obvious.

Chris Jackson
Pete Maravich
Shaq
Bob Petit
Rudy Macklin

Anyone questioning Macklin never saw him play. He averaged a double double and shot 60% for his career. He also missed his entire junior year with a broken foot, redshirted and played two more years. He was the best player on the team in the best four year stretch in LSU history.

Sixth man could be any of 7-8 players. Nikita Wilson, Dewayne Scales, Ricky Blanton, Derrick Taylor, Tremont Waters, Howard Carter, Ethan Martin, Glenn Davis, Stomile Swift. Hell, Sparky Wade played a hundred years ago and was LSU's first all-american.

Macklin was a great player who made the most of his abilities but he was small for a PF (listed at 6-7 but he was really a little over 6-4) and he didn't shoot well enough to play SF. I don't know where you'd put him on an all time team.

Basura locked in on the top 5 all time greats. Macklin is under appreciated. He made LSU relevant in basketball during his 77-81 era.

Obviously era's make all the difference, and he would excel against anyone in the walk it up and run an offense game of the 80 and 90's. He never played with a 3 pt line so its tough to imagine how his game would translate to today. You could say the same thing about Petit as well.

PG: Pistol
SG: Chris Jackson
SF: Ben Simmons
PF: Bob Pettit
C: Shaq

Big lineup, don’t matter with the two guards.

6th man is Rudy Macklin.
