Didn’t Kelly say he was the reason that play was a bust?

Yes he played the play wrong but he made up for it with a big time hustle play when a lot of guys would just be pissed off and throttle down

Made a CRUCIAL play in the Bama game running down their receiver after busting a coverage. Hustle play that turned a TD into a FG and that for sure made a difference.

This is great news imo. Like Ward, Burns has improved greatly since he's been here, and has on balance been a steadying influence in the secondary. This decision is best for both sides.

The guy is starting for DBU. EVERY secondary starter, at DBU, is a threat to be drafted.

LSU hasn’t been DBU since 2019. Ohio St and Alabama are duking it out for that title. LSU has a lot of ground to make up.

They can’t. The know it all Tiger wannabe fans live their lives thru the eyes of the 18-22 year old LSU athletes.

Multiple mentions of people that he’s enjoyed being around, and I’m sure the feeling has been mutual. What a class act.

Being the U at a position isn’t a title than changes season to season or every few seasons. So yes we are still DBU. It takes a 5 year drought to lose that moniker IMHO.

Was that announcement necessary?

That’s awesome. I wish he would have stayed at UGA but I’m happy for him and Tiger fans.

His senior year? I thought he was a RS sophomore?

Safeties busted coverage all second half of the season. They were not impressive at all. Was Burns even considering leaving? I doubt his draft stock would've been high. He has potential but he ain't there yet.

LSU had two top 100 picks at DB last draft, including 1.3
