So you count bowl games for O but not Les?

I did count bowl games for both. LSU went 9-3 due to a rain out against McNeese. Would we have won that game, most likely but it wasn't played.

It amazes me that people can’t distinguish between a 10+ year coach and a 2 year coach and their job security.

As long as O makes the CFP, sure.

Woodward isn’t Alleva pumping a 9-3 season.

If you’re happy with 9-3 then you’re a beta cuck.

What data is there to support this theory? There is literally 0 data to predict what decisions he will make at LSU.

If you’re happy with 9-3 then you might as well be an A&M fan. frick that. Some of us want to be champions.

What is he refusing to change and being stubborn about?

Coaching hires. Are only his former players considered? Same issue with Les when he hired his bestie Cam Cameron and refused to fire him to his own detriment, Paul relies on guys who we've seen no evidence of actual coaching ability. Compare the way FSU and Southern Miss approach their PAs and how LSU hitters do. It's night and day. Couple that with the lack of fundamentals on defense and baserunning mistakes and you have to wonder what exactly these coaches do.

Overall style of play. It's all old-school bullshite (put the ball in play, take extra bases, bunt, hit-and-run, etc.) that doesn't work as well in today's game. You need to get on base, get extra-base hits.

LSU has 1 player with an OBP over .400 (Smith) and 2 with a SLG% over .500 (Smith and Cabrera). Of the teams remaining or going to Omaha:

Louisville - 5 w/ OBP over .400, 2 w/ SLG over .500
Vandy - 6, 4
Ole Miss - 5, 3
Arkansas - 6, 7
Miss. St. - 6, 3
Stanford - 0 (tho 6 are above .392), 5
Texas Tech - 7, 3
FSU - 7, 5
Michigan - 4, 2
UCLA - 3, 5

LSU relies on stringing multiple hits together to score runs. If they can't do that, they don't score because they don't walk or hit for power or make the pitcher labor.

To wit, SEC rankings: 6th in BA, 10th in OBP, 8th in SLG

No. But I am real and see big improvement from the first day O took over. Miles left us with shite . We would had been better off firing Les after A&M game. Soft hearted fans cheered him on and team carried him off field. Blah blah blah. Finished with big win last year and this recruiting class looks awesome. So yes I am for giving guy a chance.

why are you so angry? Drink too much? Daddy issues? I dont care really.

I do agree that CEO needs to make the playoffs. Trying to defend CLM and CPM but throwing a coach under the bus that is exceeding expectations on the recruiting trail and has a buzz about our program that has not been around in years is laughable.

Put the bottle down, call daddy, and step away from the ledge. It is going to be ok.

These two coaches comparable. CPM has been here 10+ years, CEO is been here for 2 full years.

At least you’re honest. I agree we should’ve fired Les after A&M. We have no choice but to give O a chance now, but he should’ve never been hired. He wasn’t qualified.

But the standards don’t get lowered for him. Get back to championship contention by this year (year 3) or GTFO.

And that goes for any coach hired at LSU.

Again I ask where you are getting these standards from?

2 championships in 60 years is not “competing for championships every year”

Probably a little of both

Nothing like a preseason meltdown by the drama queens

You’re saying we should’ve kept Les then?
He won one of them.

You do realize every school is also trying to win. You apparently have never played anything above playground ball. Lots of politics in college ball. Especially the big three.

Again, then why get rid of Les? He won a NC. If you don’t expect to compete for them, why fire a guy who won one?

Les was in a position where he wasn’t even putting out an aesthetically pleasing product while going 9-3. He was fired for lying to his boss repeatedly about changing the offense, which never happened
