Orgeron took over a program in decline. As far as I can remember Miles did not get fired for finishing a season ranked sixth and winning a New Years six bowl,game .
On Saturday and Sunday LSU baseball loses because of 2 baserunning mistakes in each game. 10 walks on Saturday.
Pick off of runner on third. What ever our guy was doing to,advance to second. And then Yes we should have intentionally walked the hitter that beat us.

Little bit of difference. The expectations are rightly higher for baseball than football.
Should they be? History drives our expectations but more recent history is a better benchmark regarding expectations.
Football has 2 in the last 20 years and played for a 3rd. Baseball has 2 and played for a 3rd.
This year was disappointing for many reasons, not the least of which is we had some seniors that have put shorthand tremendous effort and I would love to have seen them get a CWS victory. But college baseball is not the same animal it once was, much better competition, top to bottom, and super regional play adds an element of difficulty we did not have to face pre 1999. Even Skip was 1-2 in super regional play though he was 3 for in making supers. PM is 5-3 if I counted right.
Paul is no Skip in my estimation but Skip is a Mount Rushmore of coaching type so that would be expecting a lot.

It was definitely slipping. Luckily Alleva found O who has been his best hire to date. It's been great watching LSU reemerge as a national power. it's also been great watching the program haters squirm around trying to continously find something to cry about.

Skip is one of a kind. That doesn't mean that Paul isn't capable and he certainly deserves more time it's much too premature to start talking about replacing him. If the team was crippled by injuries this season I can understand being disappointed but I can't imagine calling for him to be fired.

It doesn't bother you that you're not giving the man time to build the program. He's going into his 3rd year.
