Lol, no alter. Just find all the bitching about our coaching staffs funny. Last year was epic with the O- Haters, JJ-Haters, and then the Paul-Haters all bashing the coaches. Guess it will be better this year on Paul after his run in the CWS, but I doubt it.

Smoke didn't even reach NCAAT in '06.
Miles was fired with more wins in his last 5 years than Saban's 5 years at LSU and it's not like '00-'04 record was an upslope topping out at 13-1.

Fans think PM throws players under the bus too much.

Listen to Will Wade's press conferences, he does it all the time. Today's college players are not above criticism from the head coach. Deal with it!

I would say he's the second best coach on campus behind DD Breaux.

I don't have a problem with a coach publicly acknowledging a mistake by a player provided that he tells the player the same thing privately. He knows it, we know it, the player knows it, why not admit it? If the coach does it to shift blame from himself, that's different. But to come out and say something like "we struggled on the mound tonight" is just admitting what everyone else can see for themselves.

Who is the likely starter at second base? Assuming Hughes or the juco out of Uhigh?

Broussard will get more starts early. But Hughes is right there.

Lighting a fire under a player's arse takes fuel.
I tolerate that much more than poormouthing team talent as a whole, or position groups, like guards/fwds or DL/OL in football.

I would like to see Hughes take the spot before the start of the season, he has more potential and is a better defender so I don't see the harm in subbing a bat to lock down one side of the middle infield.

Gibbs had knee surgery and will be out for a couple of months.
He hasn't had the surgery yet. The swelling is still too bad. He'll have the surgery next week if the swelling subsides. He's getting around on crutches.
