If Miles said something like that, this board would melt down with rantards saying Miles is placing the blame on his assistant coaches rather than taking responsibility himself.

I hope he does this privately.....strongly want to hope!

you people cant make up your minds.
Les needs to START throwing his staff and players under the bus...Les needs to STOP throwing his players and staff under the bus.
Accountability....responsiblility....public hangings....i guess some of you think NOTHING happens unless YOURE looking, huh...

Brown also said, "I'm mystified as to why the team is so unprepared."
How do like that gem from a head coach....i wonder what this board would have to say if Miles ever said anything like that?

Who here really thinks Miles lights into GC for our offensive clusterfrick? If you are one that believes he does, at what point do you think he should actually take action? Our offense has been HORRID the past 2 yrs as well as currently.
Miles is the same coach that promoted the Co-DC screw-ups and throughout the season kept saying it was the players not making plays.
I think Miles is good for the program in SOME aspects. Overall, I don't care for his coaching style. He is the only HC I know of that constantly wants to see certain players get more time but game after game it never happens. Either he is not telling the truth or he gives up maybe too much control to his assistants.
As a supervisor, you hire people that you will feel to get the job done. You try to allow them the space and control necessary to accomplish the task. As long as they meet the objective, you give them lead-way as long as it is within the guidelines. However, if they are not meeting expectations, you then let them know and see why not and try to assist them in any way required to accomplish the task. If it gets ti the point where it just won't get done, you may have to intervene and take FULL CONTROL. Usually by then they will probably be fired or re-assigned.

For most droolers on here, the proper action is the opposite of what the coaches are doing. Doesn't matter what the decision is.

I would feel better if Miles would actually admit that his teams are at times unprepared.
He doesn't seem to be able to admit this.

+1. If Les did put heat on his people we would never know it and that is the right way to do it IMO.

You're missing the point. Brown said he didn't know why his team is unprepared. He's the head coach. So you're saying you would be ok with Miles, the head coach, saying "i don't know why my team is so unprepared."? Im calling bullshite.

I'm just saying I appreciate Brown's honesty in answering a question.
It sounds like he is just saying his team seems prepared leading up to the games (based on practice, or whatever), but come gametime, they lose focus and execution. And he doesn't know why.

Baloney. LSU fans would get behind Les in a heartbeat if they knew he actually held people accountable. The results on the field certainly do not suggest he does.
There comes a time -- e.g., when you're ranked preseason top 5 and completely go in the shitter, as Texas has -- that you need to embarrass some people. Kudos to Mack for saying what needed to be said.
sometimes people need a good kick in the arse...seems to me Mack's got that size ten ready to go.....and im sure he'll have no problem finding replacements...UT is a hell of a place to coach...

i think he knows why, this years team is riding the coatails of the stronger previous teams...he wants those guys to earn their own respect by work and showing it on the field....its like "look at me I play at UT, but I havent accomplished shite."...
id be pissed too if I were mack...i think he needs more blue collar players there...

If it were not for VY/Colt their offense would have sucked just the same as this season and past ones.
Well no shite dumbass. Without JR, we would have sucked in 2006, without Flynn, we would have sucked in 2007.

No correlation to Les.
Miles has promised he will get it fixed. He has a "want". He knows we need improvement and he is working on it.
If, in his words, "my team plays their best we'll be fine and expect victory. We enjoy the challenge."
Have faith in Miles. If he says he will get it fixed, then by damn, he'll get it fixed!!!!

I've never been a big fan of Brown, but good for him. Miles seems to be overly loyal to his assistants. I would enjoy seeing him hold them, esp. Crowton & Stud, accountable. This would be something new & different for Miles to do.

Somebody said Miles would be crucified if he said that, but we all know Miles couldn't complete such a complicated sentence.

When you run the fricking show you do cause you know there are many many many waiting in line to be OC at a place like this.
When you are at the top, you absolutely HAVE to instill the fear in your subordinates every so often.
It takes a man to do it, but the results are not debateable.
