Hope he comes back next year. If we want to get drafted high, it would be the right choice.

He lost a lot of explosiveness with that ACL tear, I think another off-season will do him good and another season will raise his draft stock.

This bowl game maybe his chance to show off it looks like he was getting back in playing shape at the end of the season. You can see him pushing Olineman backwards in the A&M game. He will be back.

Gained a gut too... He needs to slim down again, and move out to DE.

Exactly, he has potential with his size, strength and quickness. I think he suffered the most this year by not having a dline coach, essentially 2 years without one since he was injured all last year.

If he stays healthy and comes back and puts up the same stats as this year then I will say bust but I think he balls out next season.

I am curious to see if they do move him back out to DE, at least on running downs this next year. With DTs like Shone Washington, and hopefully a couple more space eaters with high motors, coming in, Maason could over power some OTs and hopefully have his quickness back to use his speed as well. Imagine Womack/Wiggins opposite of him and maybe blitzing Perkins sometimes off Maason's side. That's a major problem for an offense if we have DTs to hold the middle
