hate watching this guy on TV. He looks like he is always in pain in trying to think of something to say, PLUS as you point out his sayings are stupid.

rollins does a good job. most of his analogies/phrases are unique, colorful, and usually worth a laugh. he isn't a bore, doesn't think he's the star of the broadcast, & doesn't speak in ebonics or street slang like some announcers.

"He's hotter than a fire ant on a fever blister."

That makes him 2 for two today, AND extends his hit streak to five games.

Wouldn't the first hit extend his streak?

I like Hawthorne too. He's been the voice of LSU since I first started watching and listening to LSU sports.

In football season Greg Bowser is not a very colorful color man: no pun intended. Why can't they find a better exPlayer than him?

Bowser does a very good job. He understands and explains the how's & why's of the game, is well spoken, and maintains his professionalism. He tells it like it is. If LSU is struggling, he tells you why without being overly critical of players & coaches.
Who would you want to replace him with?

Anyone who likes Lynn Rollins sorry arse needs to be turned in to whatever agency is charged with rooting out Al Qaeda's in the US.

Freaking ridiculous. He's a JOKE...

Back in 2000, he made this gem of a comment about Brad Cresse...

"Brad Cresse hasn't just been hot...He's been WIELDING EXCALIBUR!!!!"

He needs to retire. I'd rather listen to Hanagriff, and I think Hanagriff's about as exciting as a lobotomy patient overdosing on Zanax...

Hanagriff is boring but he's not biased and usually knows what he's talking about.

He needs to read the small print at the end of car commercials. Or school lunch menus in the morning over the intercom.

He doesn't need to call a baseball game.

Period.

How about Mickey Guidry, Tommy Hodson, Bert Jones? Somebody I've heard of.
