Ok. We're talking about him receiving these shoes during a recruiting visit.
Also, when does on scholly start? Its not when he signs his LOI, i believe its when he takes his first official class.

John Canzano has a vendetta against the Oregon AD. He has always reported negatively againt the program. He will spin this as negative as possible. He has been affectionally dubbed "clownzano" for some time.

True. He does a good job at stirring the pot. Every once in awhile I listen to his radio show. It's a bunch of beaver fans joining in the conversation. It can be compulsive. What can I say: I am a quack addict and powerless.

This guy is a scumbag. I'm not naive to think most power programs don't do this as well but the NCAA needs to eliminate scouting recruit services. Let the schools do their own scouting.

If you really believe this, then EVERY other football player on Oregon's roster should have the option to be given these EXACT shoes.
Oh well, there goes that "only two in the world" stuff.

Oregon needed Chip. We don't have the national presence like LSU. We have always pushed the envelope with recruiting. Under Bellotti we were flying in PSA's on a private jet and creating comic books with the PSA as a the protagonist. That obviously was stopped. Once a national presence is created, the antics are not necessary.
Les is needed at LSU and Chip at Oregon.

Nike and Phil Knight are the worst thing to happen to Oregon sports. When a nice little Pac-10 wanna be plays for a national championship you know there's been shenanigans afoot.
Plus they provided crappy uniforms.
