The man stood on rock-solid principle and also cut loose a kid that could've easily have prevented the 2008-2009 era.

Letting RP stay would've potentially bypassed the saga, but eroded the character that has become LSU. I applaud his decision.

Brando said Kentucky was going to boat race LSU. Whatever that means.

I thought he said LSU was going to motorboat KY.

I don't agree with the comments that players should transfer, but let's not stick our heads in the sand here. LSU has a consistent problem developing young QB talent.

For some reason only seniors seem to be able to compete at LSU while other schools are able to field competitive unserclassmen.

People expecting Les to say anything difference need to stop fooling themselves. Les wants his players to like him. That's one major thing he cares about, and is a reason that some players felt like they had an unlimited length of leash, but in the end, Les had to do something.

That said, LSU lucked out big time to win despite numerous mistakes Saturday night, but same could've been said for UF. Les isn't Saban, nor is he Spurrier. He isn't going to call out his players and tell the public he expects significantly more from them. He'll call out a player not on his team like Kiel, but not one of his own.

It's how he is, and while I appreciate that he does what he can to protect these players and their egos, it sometimes comes at the detriment of the team like with JJ who became delusional about his play.

In the end, this team likely goes 6-6 or 7-5 at best right now, and next year will be interesting, but there is no point in overanalyzing Les anymore. He is what he is.

Why cant Jennings get better?

Jennings can get better, but he has limited physical skills unlike Harris whose potential is off the charts.

yes, there is another way to explain the milesbashers and nega tigahs: Sociopath

society has many sociopaths. it is the exact percentage of milesbashers and negatigahs posting on this board.

when i see them, i try to go to compassion instead of anger. (not always successful!)

Good God, everyone is spoiled around here. LSU has much more problems than just QB, and I want to see Harris play more as well. Obviously many of you are young and do not remember how bad LSU can be in a season. Now the SEC is tougher than it has ever been except maybe late 50s early 60s, and I don't have memories of that.

Some people act like they lost their woman, job, and their dog, because the LSU football team is not very good.

No not Flynn was brought in by the previous coaching staff and was decent his entire career.

Because he played so much football in his career...

seriously if RP didn't screw up I honestly think we wouldn't even be able to complain about how miles cant coach qbs cause we wouldn't have had to start JL before he was ready or JJ before he was ready.
