It'd be nice I can't lie, hardworking guy.
"Boyd is juggling life as a player, father, husband and student, who also oversees the physical training for the ROTC program at Southern University in Baton Rouge."
The word "deserve" doesn't even do it justice.

I'm all for it and it should have been done in one of the non conf games earlier.
With that said, your playing A&M and if one person could lead to a return the best players that have earned it deserve to be out there unless the game gets out of hand either way.

Man I can see both sides of the play/don't play argument, but it would be a really cool thing for this man to get on the field.

The word "deserve" doesn't even apply. Why does his service in the Marine Corps entitle him to PT? The two really don't have anything to do with one another.

This isn't high school it's the SEC. You earn your playing time through your talent.

Why does he deserve anything? He's taking a spot from a younger guy that may need it.
No offense, but being a marine or veteran doesn't make you deserving of playing time for playing on the practice squad.

I feel you. Yal are taking it the wrong way a little, I dont mean he's entitled to PT I was just saying with all the hard work he's put in his off field career compared to the young guys who live in glory on campus. He doesnt have to be on the team but he earned his way on to the team and practices everyday and still has to pay the bills and take care of the family at home. I just think he should see the field once is all.

What does his career off the field have to do with him earning playing time? Lots of players have families off the field as well.

Not taking it wrong at all. Good for him to be successful in other aspects of his life, but if you aren't good enough to play, I don't care how hard you work, others are working hard to do and may have actually earned the right to play based on their football hard work. End of story.
I will honestly be severely disappointed if a military official is pushing this garbage through and Les bows down to it.
He was clearly not good enough to play in our home cupcake blowouts, but Les should take him on the road with a limited road roster just cause of what he's done outside of football? Hell no. Should've focused on football if it matters that much to him.
