Why does everyone think people are out to get LSU. You don't make your conference tourney then you don't have a right to bitch.

How am I being a douche? By not getting angry and pitching a fit over LSU getting chosen to the tourney? Get the frick out of here.

LSU's Resume vs. St John's Resume

I heard him say why LSU was left out, but didn't hear much on why St. Johns was picked over LSU.
You say OOC Strength of Schedule matters, correct? If this is true why does St. Johns have a numerically lower OOC SoS? It doesn't make sense to say it matters when the team that was left out has a higher SoS.

Jesus. Did you even watch this team, this year?

once again, no actual logic
lsu has a pretty good 1/2 starter combo and we've been hitting the ball better lately.
lsu certainly could have won game 1 and played competitively with some 1 seeds

I'd like to see the committee at least set forth some guidelines as to what is required. Regular season conference record, conference tourney, ooc games, road record, rpi, SOS, etc. At least we would know.
Basketball has it set up. We generally have an idea of who's in and who's out and the reasons why.

he talked about the fact that almost half of our conference wins came against the 11th and 12th place teams in the league and that we had no quality non-conference road series/wins .. he talked about the fact that our schedule is so heavily front loaded with home non-conference games and we weren't tested on the road early ... all logical points that need to be corrected for the 2012 season ..

in your mind, is that a sufficient determining factor? especially with the enormous difference between the 2 conferences
The concept everyone is not grasping here is that the problem lies with HOW the teams are chosen. They want reps from ALL conferences first, THEN they move to the best teams within those conferences. If LSU is the 8th best team in the SEC and there is room for 7 teams, they're out. If StJohns is the 3rd best team in their conference, and there's room for 3 teams from the BE, they're in. Regardless of how much better LSU is than St Johns. Moral of the story? Don't finish in the bottom half of the SEC if you want to play in the NCAA tourney. If you are in the Big East, you had better be in the top 2 or 3.

we would have been a three seed playing an upper two seed .. and unfortunately kentucky and tennessee aren't in the tourney field for us ..

so st. johns gets rewarded for being in new york and having to play the first month of the season on the road?
well that makes sense

neither is georgetown or rutgers for st. john

why do you guys keep fricking harping on st. john's ?? if you want to harp on something of relevance, harp on mississippi state ... our resumes were similar and we beat them head up ..

This is a really poor argument on his part. It really shouldn't make a difference for LSU since other schools beat a lot of shitty teams in their conferences and still got in.
