Trying to clarify my question. someone said qb at ole miss when im asking about lsu. I feel like its been awhile since lsu redshirted a 4 or 5 star quarterback straight out of highschool.

means absolutely nothing. redshirt is an eligibility exemption that is given to athletes that have not used it prior and they did not play any snaps that season (sometimes theres exceptions to this),but being on the travel squad doesnt mean anything unless he took a snap from center

hayden rettig. got demoted to like 4th string, redshirted then transferred that summer.

Despite his claims to the contrary, I will be shocked if Harris is here in the fall. I think he will go through spring and if his chances are good to start, he will stay. They won't be and he will leave.

I really don't understand why QB would be against redshirting in his first year in college. They all talk about a business decision.
Well, if you go to a program and you don't win the position, it's foolish to piss away a year of eligibility, when you can go to the NFL the same as a RS sophomore as you can as a junior.
I get the wanting to play early, but it's unrealistic to think you can do it in the SEC, unless you're at bama where they have the best of the best at basically every position. Most importantly, the Oline.

You think Canada likes a qb that is highly inaccurate and can't or won't run that well? Lmao. You people and your bh bullshite........"well he has a strong arm, is very athletic (what they mean is black) and loads of potential". When will y'all get it, he may be a great kid, may, but he doesn't have it at qb. If he just had one or two deficiencies, possibly...but he has several.

Yes that miles type offense has always made him throw highly inaccurate on short passes, but a new offense will suddenly fix his accuracy problems on the same short passes. Got it. We live in a society now where the thing to do is blame someone else. Sad

You don't "apply" for a redshirt at all, a player has 5 years to play 4, period. Participate in 1 play and that's 1 year burned. A medical exemption is a different story, and if circumstances fit the rules, the team can apply for this after the season, provided the player has not previously redshirted.
