Seriously. We were 8 definite drops away from Lee being at least 16 for 21 for well over 200 yards and possibly even more because the drives would have continued instead of having to punt.
We have drops in every level of the game of football. It happens get over it.

No doubt.
Saturday was a bit obnoxious though. Not every throw was money, but were catchable.

A word most commonly reserved for a reference to the curent state of a diaper. Just what are you implying.....

Exactly. Sure they were a little high in some cases but it hit them in both hands. There is absolutely no excuse.

Quick question... Do you change your opinion if we dont drop 8 footballs saturday?
Posted on 10/3/11 at 9:28 am to 5Alive
I am over it. Geez man pay attention. All I'm doing is saying that 8 was a little higher than average and that you can blame our offensive problems on the dropped passes, mostly. The thread was knocking our O and I was simply stating that we will be ok. Don't be so dense.

We will get exposed on offense this Saturday and certainly at Bama, unfortunately. Maybe we'll still survive.
It all comes don to the triggerman, and ours are average, unfortunately...
But on the good side, outside of drops, this is a pretty much mistake-free operation on both sides of the ball, which is why we have succeeded.

No...The passing game needs tons of work.
Fes, stop pooing me.

Gameplan was ok I mean it was Kentucky but I thought we should have worked on our 2 minute offense at the end of 1st half.

Ok so what about the three passes that the receivers bailed out Lee. The one to Reuben Randle should have been picked, the floaty to Shepard, and the one to OBJ "was" a pick(Looked at it about ten times but that's another debate in itself)

quote:Bama's offense is about as vanilla as it gets regardless of the opponent or score. Virtually no downfield passing and about 65% run.
I understand the need to not "show" our offensive game in these lopsided matchups, still I wonder does Alabama or Florida run as "vanilla" as we do when their score reflects a major blow out? Have we really implemented that many new plays that the likes of these coaches haven't seen?

Jesus Christ, Mr. Optimism. I'm pretty sure I see a flaming fire shootin from your arse.

exactly.. i would not compare LSU to Alabama at all.. bama is going to be smash mouth boring run run run pass type of team.. LSU does actually gameplan accordingly week to week and will change it up IMO.

And like drops those will happen every game as well. Having receivers like that is all the more reason that those dropped passes should have been caught. Or do we have a team full of Devery Hendersons?
Posted on 10/3/11 at 9:36 am to Linkovich
Both Lee & JJ are very average to maybe even below average QB's IMO...There's a very good chance Bama exposes that, maybe even Fla.

I'm sure you felt this way last year as well correct? Especially when LSU's offense was vastly worse then.. but remind me.. Who won those games?

That's bullshite. Jesse Palmer said J. Lee is the best QB in the SEC, so you're full of shite, man.
For reals though, I don't know how much of an offense we'll need against Florida with the Qb issue now. This will be a low scoring slugfest with LSU pulling it out late.
