LSU’s next QB is on somebody else’s roster right now...

Let’s be honest. LSU has never developed an elite QB. Ever. Ensminger has had as much time with Brennan as anyone ever gets with a QB. LSU is going to have to rely on other teams to develop QBs then recruit them here. So, who’s it going to be?

It should have been D'Eriq King or KJ Costello. Both were in the transfer portal this past spring and both would have jumped at an LSU offer if we made the move.

Emotion overplayed logic. Brennan has showed us nothing indicating he was ready, and the fans thought the offense was invisible after last season. Seeing D’Eriq King put up 52 yesterday was tough to watch knowing he should be at LSU over Darren Evans.

King should have always been the target IMO. The guy can make things happen.
We really screwed up not pursuing him. I would say this even if he wasn't having success at Miami.. but he is.

Not a shot, better pocket presence, quicker, and a more decisive passer. Brennan played hs football for a small 2A school in Mississippi. Nuss plays, and successfully, on a 6A Texas team.

Brother Martin absolutely ripped Brennan a new one in his senior year. If Brennan had played in the Catholic League, he may have been lucky to get a free ride from Tulane.

Have to wait 2 years to get Walker Howard. He has the talent and skills Brennan does not.

Brennan played good enough to win...against that team.. not horrible for a first game. Obviously Brennan below where we need to be for top tier SEC play. But defense..awful...Have not seen a defense that bad since Chavis had DJ Welter at MLB against Dak Prescott and MSU.
