When the LSU football team won the National Championship, did they disrespect every other team in America? Well HELL YEAH, but they didn't do it to be disrespectful and couldn't help it that they were by far the very best.

That's what softball is having to deal with right now. No need to cry about it. Just pull for them and hope the others put in the effort to to catch up or even surpass LSU's female American Gangstas.

The SHSU coach was ejected from the game because they kept calling illegal pitches on their pitcher. Kind of strange they wouldn't do it for the other teams as well.

I am a fan of all LSU sports. I enjoy watching softball and like Beth. However, we always seem to be “close” but never get there. We always seem to hit a dry spell and lose a couple of SEC series at crucial times when we’re in the thick of the battle. Beth seems to be good at getting them ready for a weekend regional or super regional but I would like to see us actually win the conference or make it the Championship round in OKC...which requires a lot more consistency. It took DD forty years to get to be national “runner-up”. Hopefully it won’t take Beth that long to win a trophy.

In order to win the SEC

Offense can't go and disappear for a month or for weeks. Seems to be the biggest bug that happens every year towards the last half/third of the season. Even with the days of Bell, Jaquish, Kloss, Simmons and Landry, we would go some pretty long periods with minimal offensive output with those big bats. We have to find a way to not be so extreme. Having off weekends happens to every team every year. You just can't go weeks with it.

As for winning a national title, thats a bit of a different story. Got to get hot at the right time and hit quality pitching in the post season. Elite pitching can carry you to supers or OKC but you aren't winning it without hitting the ball.

Initially I thought you made a mistake in your wording and meant the softball team was ranked number 2. I assumed that no one would really compare LSU sports programs from a prideful perspective. My assumption was wrong.
