1. Pressure. Not defensive pressure on McCarron/Mettenberger. Not press coverage. Mental pressure. Historically, the road team has dominated this game. That fact is not some freakish trend, and not a pointless anomaly. Rather, it's the result of something very predictable. This game has been played lately by two teams who are very evenly matched, with tons riding on the outcome. I don't know the reason, but apparently, the contestants in this game feel less pressure when they are on the road.

2. Bama hasn't been tested yet. Do NOT overlook this point. Even the most ardent Bama supporters will tell you this team's not as good as some of the more recent Bama teams. Know why? Because the new players aren't as good. Bama has a crew of very good players this year, but those players have yet to be tested under fire. LSU players have been tested, to the point of losing. They know how losing a close game feels. Bama's has many new players who've yet to contribute in close games, or even be in one for that matter. Go back to the "pressure" point. I'm telling y'all, when some of these "untested" players get put in their first pressurized situation, they will fail to deliver.

3. Bama HAS to lose a game. I do believe that overall, Alabama has a better football team than LSU this year. I also believe that LSU has a better football team than Ole Miss, but we lost the game. Bama will not go undefeated this season. Going undefeated is extremely hard to do, and I don't see this Alabama team as being able to do that. They will lose a game, and it will be this game.

Considering the above, feel free to catch a plane to southern Nevada, place a large bet, and thank me late Saturday night.

I think your overall message is pretty on point, but Bama has been tested in a close game this year. We were down 14-0 early to TAMU, and won the game 49-42.

For the record, I agree that LSU will win this game.

Keys to the game:

Offense:

Mett needs to make the right checks at the line.
Find the blitzer and recognize the coverage
Win the numbers battle.
Count the box and audible to run or pass based on the numbers and keep it balanced
Win first down so we dont end up in 3rd and long.
see above
Hill needs to run as hard as woodpecker lips.
and Miles needs to give it to him
No drops from the receivers
Saban will man up and not be scared..make him pay

Defense

Tackle well all game.
dont let #4 make a fool of you
Keep the D-line fresh
Rotate everybody you got to keep them fresh so you dont get your arse run on all game. Burn redshirts if you have to.
Secondary, dont alow the big play.
Know your assignment in coverage and dont make communication errors
Pressure McCarron
If you knock him down, he will cry
Linebackers have to make plays.
Bama loves to drag TE's and RB's underneath. LB's need to find Bama safety valve

Special Teams

Make the catch first.
We have a great offense so OBJ needs to worry less about making a big return and more about securing the ball
Dont miss the extra point.
Each point is crucial in a game like this
No muff punts!!!!
Dont give Bama a short field

Coaching

No silly fakes in scoring position
Always take the points Miles!!
Make the timeouts count.
save them for the final drive of each half
Have a great day

They aren't last year's team, but I think TAMU was a pretty solid opponent.

I agree with you 100%. LSU has literally nothing to lose and will play without any pressure whatsoever, and this has been a road dog series for some damn reason.

About the only team they have played that is worth a shite. A & M put up 700 yds of offense on Bama. Now Bama has improved but has not even come close to facing the overall talent they will face Sat night. The same can be said about LSU as well. BUT Lsu has NOTHING TO LOSE and EVERYTHING TO PROVE. A dangerous thing to overcome for Bama.

As a Bama fan saying this, can you give us detail as to why you believe LSU will win?

I was just pointing out that we had been tested. I agree overall... I think everything has aligned perfectly for LSU to take this one.

LSU's strengths match up perfectly with our weaknesses.

I expect a similar game as last year from Mett, and we don't have a single cornerback on our team capable of covering JL or OB in man coverage - which is what we'll have to do if we want to get pressure.

It's a damned if we do, damned if we don't kind of thing.

If we send pressure, there's no way we lock up in man without getting burned.

If we don't sent pressure, Mett will throw for 400.

Cannot argue with point three other than Aubie can well be that "one loss " as much as LSU.

the outcome of the battle between our O line and their D line..

the outcome of the battle between our D and their rushing O

if we win both battles we win
if we win ONE of the battles decisively, we win
