I've been going to school at SU for 2 years now, and have never felt unsafe on campus. Also, keep in mind that the spring game is typically played in the middle of the day, FWIW.

It actually looks like a pretty decent stadium. nearly 30K seats and a brand new turf field. Being on that side of town, I may even go play a round of golf at either Beaver or Copper Mill before or after the game. this could be much worse.

I think they usually wait to replace the turf after Bayou Country Superfest. Maybe doing it earlier interfered with the spring game date. Unless they are installing a new drainage system but I think that was done before this season.

To say that happen on Southern campus is like saying the killing at the LSU frat house happen on LSU campus or a robber at walk-ons happen on LSU campus
