Portland a stay on west coast time, but UW is a lock to play there and we obviously won't be matched up with them

You do realize you can both play in Portland and not play each other, right?

Lunardi just updated his a couple of minutes ago and he also says LSU will play Maryland in the first round. I was thinking it would be a 6/11 matchup as well.

As a Wake Forest fan/student, I have seen Maryland play twice in the past ten days. This is a GOOD match up for LSU. If this is true, this is definitely good news.

Jerry Palm and Bracketolgy 101 both have us as an 8!
Lunardi has us a 6 and Bracketology 2009 has us a 5 (however I think that site is the least reputable).

obviously, but it cuts one of those slots out and USC won't be in a home pod, making it very unlikely SC plays there

With Lunardi's projection, LSU has a decent shot at the Elite 8. I would probably still take them out in the second round, but Villanova and Michigan State aren't exactly the best 2/3 seeds. It actually looks like the weakest bracket.

I still see LSU vs. USC, dammit.

If Temple can shut down Vasquez, then Maryland is pretty much done. He does it ALL for that team. On the other end of the court, they have no size in the middle and played a 2-3 zone against us to compensate. We could not hit a 3 to save our life, but LSU has much better 3 point shooters.

Yeah, Wake should have taken their size advantage against Maryland. If LSU plays them, I think it would be similar to the their games against Duke. However, they wouldn't come with the same intensity.

Also, Elliot Williams really frustrated Vasquez, and I think Temple is just a more experienced version of Elliot.
