What if OKst and Stanford are both undefeated (assuming we are aswell) who do we play? I think OKst has a better SOS but Stanford plays a conf champ game (i think)

I'd like to play Boise in the NCG. Put all the talk to rest about those teams that play scrubs all season being so good.

Oklahoma State...The computers love them and they still have to play Oklahoma.

0.000000000000000000000000000% chance of BSU in BCSCG. OU would go in that case.

1. Already beat Oregon on a neutral field
2. Already beat Alabama at their own stadium much less a neutral field
3. If Oregon beats Stanford and goes on to win the PAC 12 then Stanford can't possibly be considered
4. If OK St. loses to OK then OK will win the Big 12 and not OK St.

This all leaves two teams Boise St. and OK. Personally, I think OK lost to Texas Tech will not look so good to the computers

For the following reasons, I believe an undefeated Boise has a very good chance of overtaking a one-loss Alabama in the final BCS standings.

Alabama is only ranked one spot ahead of Boise in each of the human polls (AL=4; BSU=5) and the average of the computer polls (AL=3; BSU=4).

The human and computer elements of the BCS standings will take into account Alabama's strength of schedule ("SOS") at the end of the season. We all know the affect Boise's weak SOS has on its ranking, but Boise is still only one spot behind Alabama because of LSU's win over Alabama.

Consider the remaining schedules of Alabama's opponents. Penn State still plays Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin (2 or 3 realistic losses). Florida plays South Carolina and Florida State (2 realistic losses). Arkansas plays LSU (loss). These are possible losses that will negatively impact Alabama's strength SOS (perhaps not an Arkansas loss to LSU), and, consequently, human and computer rankings.

In addition, Alabama still plays Georgia Southern, which will "hurt" its SOS.

If Boise and Alabama both win out, I can see Boise possibly passing Alabama.

Most ubsurd thing i've ever heard... Boise state will never play for a national championship until they join an AQ conference.. Should OK St and Stanford lose, there will be a rematch against Bama..

It will be an Alabama rematch. Boise will not beat TCU this week. OU beating OSU is a forgone conclusion and Stanford will lose to Oregon. book IT

Neither of these exclude either team from the BCS NCG. In fact, most BCS experts think both of these teams with one loss, would get it before Boise.

So....your post is pretty fail.

Agree with this. Boise's computer ranking will only go lower and lower. Also, coaches from big conferences would never vote them in bc they know the difficulty of playing good teams every week

OK. St. is who we would play under your circumstances. The computers love them and the extra game by Stanford against a UCLA wouldn't be that much to help them in the computers. It may help them in the Human polls but they still wouldn't jump OK St. in them.
Extra game also wouldn't help Stanford much because the Bedlam game is being played the same weekend as all the conference championship games. So it's a de facto conference championship, anyway, and will be equally fresh on the voters minds.

Boise State won't go to the title game because the voters will not let it happen. As Corso said a couple of years ago, they have a "Blue Ceiling." #3 is their national championship. The coaches won't vote them any higher than that, and the computers like them even less.

that's just stupid.

Ou would pass Bama by the fact they won the Big 12 and beat the # 2 team on the road. Bama has no more teams thhey can beat that will help them stay ahead of OU.

I think that this the correct answer that everyone is looking for......but if it were not I wouldn't be surprised.
