Without the bs portal KM wouldn't have won shite at lsu. When she wins with her recruits from hs then she can hold the title.

23 national titles. They schedule marquee out of conference games. 1) you truly learn which players on your team you can trust. 2) the players learn by playing legit competition. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY 3) it grows the game., it gets eyeballs on the product. Look at this game thread, 4 posts about the game, about 5 asking about a player injury/suspension, and the rest us arguing over scheduling. Go look up the Duke game thread, it’s 8 pages of game discussion plus multiple threads started about the game.

Kim Mulkey has yet to win a SEC regular season title at LSU, and perhaps the charmin soft non conference schedule leads to that. Schedule a few better games in November or December and you might pick up an extra loss or two, but it might save you a loss or two in SEC play. And the NCAA selection committee might give you credit instead of under seeding the team each year.

Everything you said above may, or may not be true. What I do know is that over the past ten years, Staley has won 3 NCAA titles, Kim has won two, and Geno has won one. So, what she's doing IS working. She has stated again........................and again............and again. She only cares about getting a top four seed for the NCAA tournament and getting two home games, so that they have a favorable road to the final four. Yes, it's possible she could have more SEC titles. But she is willing to use the conference season to prepare her team for the NCAA tournament. We don't have to like it...............but it is her philosophy.

I believe that, but do you believe if she gave the fans a few good games ooc she wouldn’t make it? You don’t think we could get into the top 16 if we played a few top teams? I believe we would.

Did she do that at Baylor, or did she just start that at LSU? I know in 2019 she played s lot better schedule and won it all.

Cool. And my philosphy is I'm not going to watch when they play teams they will beat by 60, which is her entire chosen non conference schedule (the SEC/ACC challenge was forced on her). I'll watch the SEC games.

I think you're absolutely entitled to do that. Just stop complaining about it, when you know she's not going to change.

She probably didn't because, if you remember, that was a veteran team coming back that was expected to compete for the NCAA championship. This season's team at LSU has 8 new players and the team three seasons ago had nine new players. I have a feeling that next year, their non-conference schedule will be tougher, but still will have a lot of lower ranked teams on it.

Kim has said repeatedly conference tournaments are all about $$. She doesn't particularly care about conference tournaments. Her top priority is the NCAA Tournament.

I guess we should get rid of our coach then?

Dale Brown eventually came around to the same conclusion. They are both right.

Where has that been said?

The argument is the horrendous schedule that is unwatchable for anyone who likes to see competiton. Seriously, how can anyone enjoy watching a game with a 72.5 point spread (LSU vs Morgan St)? The entire non conference is games like that.

That’s the thing, you can believe Mulkey is a great coach and still express the desire that we scheduled better teams so we can watch our team against good competition.

No one wants her fired.

"Without the bs portal......"? Dumb & Dumber shows up once again. Wannna guess how many ranked teams have zero portal players on their roster? Zero. Guess what. Per the NCAA records, Kim has 4 National championships She's holding her multiple titles just fine. She's also in the NCAA women's Hall of Fame. Voted in by her peers.
