I was a freshman, and I lived in the West Stadium dorms. I'm pretty sure we exceeded the capacity of the student section for that game. I missed the Ole Miss game, which had even higher attendance.

My senior year at LSU, and up there with USC in 1979, and 2007 Florida as memorable as any LSU game in any sport I’ve ever attended

shaq was years later, 90's… the 81 season was lsu as high as #2… rudy macklin… lsu went undefeated all through the sec, until last game, when lost to kentucky, at home, very very close game… kyle macy… that was daddy dale's first big big season…
