I have been looking at all the "amazing" pitching stats for UC Irvine and UCLA this morning and it really isn't scaring me. LSU doesn't play "small ball" like the West Coast teams. These pitchers are getting so many strike outs because the pussies on the west coast don't swing the bat until they are down 0-2, 1-2 in the count. These west coast teams better be ready to field the ball b/c LSU isn't striking out that much!

Good thing for LSU - we have a history of going up against UCI's guys in Bibona, Pettis and Bergman.

As far as UCLA, they started out really well but looking at their conference games, they have lost and given up some runs.

Another perk - UCLA park is conducive to LSU's offense.

We have such a versatile offense this year, we should be ok in whatever type of game we get into

Very good point. Its not like there has been a reliance on the LONG BALL.
