The reason fans don’t go to Orlando anymore is because the stadium is horrible and it’s located in a ghetto…

I made the mistake of going to Orlando for the Florida State game. I never thought that so many LSU fans would sell their tickets. It was a horrible experience... worse than West Virginia by 1000%. I'm sure that won't happen in Vegas.

I have never seen such a sell off for a neutral site/bowl game.

The 22 game in the Dome was mostly FSU as well,

It's Labor Day weekend in Vegas, so flights and rooms will be pricey. Need to keep eyes and ears open for sales, and then jump on them. Southwest out of NO, or another carrier, may be a better option than flying out of BTR.

Not out of Houston... still over $600 on SW, that's why I'm driving to Austin for $298 ticket RT

I'm planning to go with my son (who will have just turned 21), but there's no way around it being a pricey trip. From the DFW area, I cobbled together an airfare for $440 pp (heading out there on American, coming back on Southwest). Then I used Hilton points to book a room at the Waldorf Astoria (would not have chosen this if I didn't have the points--cash rates were $750/night, and now they're completely sold out). Any halfway decent hotel on the Strip is going to run you a fair bit that weekend, though if you are willing to dip to an Excalibur-type level or stay downtown, you can find something under $200/night.

One thing that makes the airfare tricky for us is that we have to travel Friday to Monday, and I'm not willing to do the 5:30 am-type departures. If you can go Saturday to Tuesday and/or don't care about times, you can find cheaper fares.

Anyway, I hope to eventually find tickets in the $200 each range, but we'll see...

Wait until the day of the game and you'll be able to buy them online for $85 in the uppers.

Got mine at New York New York. Decent rate and walkable/short Uber ride to the stadium.

You can also walk across the street to Excalibur and take the free tram to Mandalay Bay, cutting a lot of time off your walk.
