One potential sticking point to playing a home and home with Oregon, is that there is no recruiting benefit to it. I can understand why Oregon would want to play in TX/LA/MS to increase their recruiting exposure.
LSU has played quite a few Home and Homes over the last few years all over the country (Arizona, Arizona St., Washington, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech) as well as neutral site games against Oregon and North Carolina. We can't meet every demand to play home and homes with teams.
We 1st look to make out budget numbers to fund all of our other athletic programs (we don't have a MEGA booster to fund all of our capital projects) and once that is met, recruiting and fan interest comes into play.
I'd love for LSU to have a H/H so I could hit up Bandon Dunes and catch a game in Eugene, but it doesn't look like it is in the cards for the near future.

I doubt our ad is scared of a program with zero titles.

we have nothing left to prove by playing you guys.. whats so hard to understand about that? we beat you AT A NEUTRAL FIELD.. say what you want to about dallas, but everyone else in the country (yes, even those outside the SEC 'bubble') sees that as a neutral field.. if we were to play you again next year, it would be a lose/lose situation for LSU
we win - really doesn't prove anything, we beat ya'll by double digits last year and according to the media, oregon still hasn't 'arrived' yet
we lose - the (present day) series is 1-1, douchebags like yourself come over here claiming the spread offense is the new testament in CFB, Oregon's the best thing since the swiffer sweeper wet jet, etc..
basically, we stepped up to the plate, played you at a neutral site (sorry your fans don't travel well, i know you'll dispute this fact, but i was at that game and there was ZERO noise coming from ya'll - and don't give me the dallas LSU alumni shite either, just because they're in the city doesn't mean they're at the game), and worked your pretty little team... sorry for partying and sorry you got your feelings hurt so bad that nearly a year later, you're still here defending your honor, and bragging about stomping a mediocre tennessee team..
also, i'm tired of hearing about you beating UT in knoxville and setting that record... if the duke blue devil go, say 15-15 in a season (basketball) and LSU goes up there and beats them 100-25, does that say more about the power of LSU, or the decline of a powerhouse??? i'm sick of your shite, get off our board please

That's basically what you've said the whole thread. In one post you talk about number 1 offense then about points, that wins games. Bruh just admit Oregon isn't on the same level as top tier sec teams. It doesn't make you a shitty program
Bro, I will not admit it. For in my mind, that would be a lie. The way I look at it is, we have only had our head coach as such for 3 years. And in that 3 year span no team has done better(in that whole 3 year span in total) then us except of course Bama. Now, if Chip Kelly did end up bolting to Tampa in the NFL, I would easily agreed with you. But not with him. We are just getting started. And I really do not think he will bolt until he wins a Natty. He wants to prove himself and his unique system here first. And with him we are only starting to get better and better players. We always got crappy O and D linemen. But now that is changing. We already are there and very soon we will win one. Watch and see...

Washington was winless in 2008. The season PRIOR to the announcement was 2007, in which Washington went 4-9.

FYI, most programs, including yours, have way more donations to their Athletic programs then us. We get that myth excuse from our rival Washington fans all the time but they also do not have a clue that they receive way tons more in money from boosters then us.

read your link... still doesn't make sense to say that our defense would be 'SCARED' to strip the ball from your offense.. don't you think we've played in 'rowdy' stadiums before?? shite ours seems to be pretty decent as well.. what about bama's stadium? what about the dreaded stadium in knoxville where the only thing oregon does is set records? what about georgia? the swamp?
you're really not gonna win this argument
LSUs program > Oregon's program

If that were true, one would think your pussy arse AD would have balls enough to schedule us home/home. We even offered to fly to LSU first and you could fly back at the earliest schedule opening, even if a couple years down the road(like you are with UW). Your AD demanded No. He is a pussy. Email your AD. Find out yourself...

I'll entertain this bleacher report article only to say that of that list, LSU plays in #15 Auburn, #9 Alabama and #4 UF every/other year. Starting next year we will add #12 TAMU to that list as well.
Also, We have played H&Hs with #19 WVU (2011) and #10 VT (2002).
Oregon has a loud, rowdy and crazy stadium, just like half of our away schedule every year.

and yea, i see your little cute stadium... but i also see autzen stadium and raise you, DEATH VALLEY
quote:
Alabama head coach Bear Bryant once remarked that "Baton Rouge happens to be the worst place in the world for a visiting team. It's like being inside a drum."
In 2001, ESPN sideline reporter Adrian Karsten said, "Death Valley in Baton Rouge is the loudest stadium I've ever been in."
In 2002, Miami (Ohio) coach Terry Hoeppner said of Tiger Stadium, "That's as exciting an environment as you can have ... we had communication problems we haven't had at Michigan and Ohio State."
In 2003, ESPN's Chris Fowler called LSU his favorite game day experience.
In 2009 former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee stated on the Fox news with Sean Hannity show, "Unfair is playing LSU on a Saturday night in Baton Rouge."
TRUMP THAT
