OP was info not seen on TD.
Reading the above, it appears that opinions fall along age & living location, i.e., if you know what 62-0 means or live in the greater NOLA area, play them.
Reading a Tulane site, most of them agree there will be no game at Yulman & the best they can hope for is 3 for 1, with the one in the Dome. They want, but don't expect a lot of $$$$. Both sides agree that LSU sets the terms, at least for the first contract.
My point: IF OU ops out for a game vs. Okie St on Thanksgiving weekend, LSU will need a Thanksgiving game if the SEC doesn't come up with an in-conference game. Thus, since it will have to be a nonconference game, I think the CFP gang would accept a game against an old in-state 'rival'.

Yes I'd love to see this restored. Storied traditions like the wheelbarrow parade in Garyville should be brought back to life. I remember my Tuck Fulane bumper sticker while an LSU student. It was all good times. And Tulane does have competitive programs.

"An old in-state rival"? Yea, 40 years ago.....to be generous. tulane has never sold its ticket allotments to a game in T.S. The games in the Dome have always been heavily LSU based. There are not many, but a few , tulane ranters here. Whenever this subject comes up, none are ever here pushing for this game to be played. tulane is not a State school, i.e. none of its shared revune goes into the State's coffers. At last count, 80+ % of its student body are from out-of-state; basically the same for its alumni. They have no desire, at least based on their complete silence, to play LSU in football. If they don't care, why should LSU fans?
