TEAM [Transfers In - Transfers Out]

1. Georgia [9-16]
2. Notre Dame [7-16]
3. Miami [13-19]
4. Ohio State [17-32]
5. Indiana [17-11]
6. Alabama [19-23]
7. Texas [22-23]
8. BYU [lol]
9. Ole Miss [30-23]
10. Texas Tech [23-21]

LSU [43-34]

LINK

I think we greatly underestimated how bad our roster situation was versus the more elite teams. Losing 34 players (even if they were bad) and gaining 43 new players (even if they are good) is crazy.

Post 2019 out recruiting has not been good despite what the ratings guys have said.

That's fine if LSU just lost to one of those top 10 teams (or a top 25-35 team with an established coach/roster), but they lost to a team with similar roster turnover, inferior talent, and a first-year head coach.

Today's model of "program building" is an almost entirely different specie than pre-NIL.

I still have hope with Lane that our roster can again become a LA/ SETX/Gulf Coast centric roster. And where those numbers are single digits.

I think we were all aware (maybe ignoring it, but definitely aware) that growing pains were possible. Considering the extreme roster turnover, it's fair to say that this team is doing well to be as competitive as they are. With the top 2 guys on the team (both being returning players) out for this month, this team is now even more reliant on guys that haven't been here for a full year yet.

I still would say that this team underperformed against Ole Miss and Kentucky despite the roster turnover and key injuries, but this is good perspective to remember for people on this board who think the sky is falling.

LSU had a total of 77 roster changes. Kentucky had 54 changes.
I’m not too good at math so I’ll let you do it.
