I know lots of TTU grads. Believe me when I say they would absolutely love to see the Raiders pound a down SEC elite program. With TTU up and coming these kinds of things are important for bragging rights and recruiting. Leach will do everything he can to run up the score if given the opportunity.

"Our punter should be ready"

.....no need for their punter to be ready ..... # of TTU possessions x 7 = TTU total score

They will want to prove they were worthy to be considered for a BCS bowl game and try to beat us and run up the score as much as possible to prove it.

TT will skull drag us
-----------------------
Personally, I think we have pretty good shot. Miles has been able to get his tema ready to dominate every opponent in his three Bowl Games, and TT is not physical -- we have a way to go, but with better athletes and a heavy dose of redemption, we might be able to pull this off.

In no way is that a good situation for LSU. If TT skull fricks LSU that could be the begining of the end of the our golden years.

On the other hand if LSU pulls off the upset I don't think Miles will make any changes to his coaching staff. Which will mark the begining of the end of these golden years.

Rantards never cease to amaze me. No matter what happens against TTU, we are screwed

intriguing matchups to say the least.
Not at all. I think it would be VERY lopsided. With the shape our team's in now and the crappy attititude they seem to have this would be an embarassment of monumental and historic proportions.

I guess I just don't see it. I know LSU has its own problems and the team hasn't been playing very well but I think they can hang with TT. LSU is full of big time blue chip players and TT is full of 3 star guys passed up by LSU, oklahoma, and Texas. The sky is not falling on LSU and they will be just fine....JMO

They will not punt 1 time if they play us this year.

Yeah they can leave their punter at home and take an extra receiver to spell the other ones who'll be tired from running deep all game.

on the other hand, it would be a great way to salvage a horrible season. I just don't think this game will come off but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea.

I think the team needs to be a major underdog with nobody giving them a chance to win. It could develop an us against the world mentality that could carry over in to 09. Plus Leach might have already jumped ship by then, and LSU should have the new defensive coaches in place.

If a new defensive staff is in place, a win against either of the techs while holding down their offense could show 08 was just an anomaly and help put LSU back in the top-10 going into 09.

Isn't that how it was for the UF game?

No, LSU was only a 7 point dog on the road against UF. A lot of national media picked a close game, some picked LSU. LSU fans were pretty confident. I think Florida had that must win mentality after the Ole Miss game. LSU new the could lose and still be in the mix. Plus, I think that tip ball td on the first drive really deflated LSU's defense and they still have not recovered. A win against either of the Techs would help get that swagger back.

What a ridiculous matchup. Really now, from an objective standpoint, what sense is it to match up a NC contender with a team not even in the top 25? LSU has great talent, but nothing during our season even remotely allows me to believe we can match up with TT. As a tiger fan, I can put on P&G glasses in time for the game, but as a realist ... WTF???

Bowl system is a mess.

no way. the big 12 offensive stats/perceptions are inflated by poor defenses.
We have a porous and poor defense.

Some of you people are just plain rediculous! Have some damn faith in your team. If this were the matchup, I think LSU will be in the game the entire time!
