Didn't Tennessee know a few weeks ahead of us that they were going to Atlanta?

No, they clinched by winning at Florida the same day we beat Auburn the week before. Those were the rescheduled games due to 9/11.

Hands down the best game I've ever been to. Was in the front row as a student. Absolutely insane!!!

I was at that game. When we won it, I believe that is the most ecstatic I have ever seen LSU fans be in person and that includes both our 2003 and 2007 NC games.

I have to agree with this. That was the loudest bunch of LSU fans I've ever experienced on the road. I couldn't believe we were making that much noise in the Georgia Dome because Tennessee fans had about 70% of the fans there since they thought they were surely headed to the national championship. We were borderline insane and it was great.

I don't think Tennessee has ever been quite the same since we shocked them in that one. Rohan and Toefield got knocked out of the game, but Jimbo did a great job of play calling with Domanick Davis and an unknown Matt Mauck in that one. The Vols weren't ready for the QB Shotgun draws.

yep. he is. we used to run into him all the time from certain events to ball games. he and I talked a good while at the SECCG in 2007 while having a few drinks of course me and Josh Booty did the same thing in 2011 in atlanta also. Both great guys and pioneers that got us back on track in 2000 and 2001.
