oregon doesn't deserve this. fricking 20th ranked team in the nation that shouldn't even have gotten to match play if it weren't for the home course.

now given a 1-0 lead because of a stupid rule.

There's a rule change proposal that is up for a vote of the coaches this year that will allow a team to travel with 6 players and substitute after any round for any reason .. There was some opposition to it but I think this will change some minds

I don't think it should be replacement for any round for any reason. It should be injury or illness only. In the stroke play portion the replacement would only be used in the event two players were injured. In match play they could obviously use them for any of the three rounds.

Also, the injured/ill player could not return to competition for another round during match play.

Wow, what a ridiculous rule. So if you cannot play due to an injury you automatically forfeit your match.

Seems like at the most, there would just be 4 matches.

eta: Ok, they don't do that. Both teams start A/S and each match is worth .8(odd).

But it says it's 1-0 on Golf Channel so I guess it is the rule. The live scoring link says otherwise.

.8-0-2.4 Oregon only a few holes in.

that's what i'm assuming, but i don't know.

i would say advantage oregon if you get to pick your player, but Wise hasn't been great out there yesterday and today.

A match can't end AS. If one does finish 18 AS they go into a playoff.

I wonder if Fred is nervous?

LSU/Oregon ended 3.5-1.5. How did that happen?

The halved match was a match that was tied and didn't get finished because Oregon had already clinched?
