The only thing I'm really rooting for is for is the ASU/UT winner to lose on Thursday to have to play that extra game.

the winner of that game still plays on friday right?

but i agree.

i am sure they are saying the same thing about us too.

It's the CWS, no road will be easy. But LSU is playing as well as anyone right now so here's to us making it the "ship" and having a great series.

picking today, i would say we are likely to match with ASU in the championship series. Great pitching but pretty weak batting. They were described as pesky. Hanging around to scratch out some runs. That well describes a club who is in ball games because their pitching keeps the game close and they find a way to get a few runs.

For my money, North Carolina is the toughest team. they had a rough start and they may believe they are jinxed.

I believe LSU will be able to outscore ASU. Should be a good series.

Definitely

ETA: The Tigers have been playing some great ball, and ASU has been looking good, too.

Team BA of .283 72 homeruns not bad hitting team, not great though

Arizona State has

9-3 2.78 ERA 91K 77.1 Innings opp hit .196 against
28 Walks allowed

LHP Josh Spence
9-1 2.26 ERA 117k 95.2 Innings opp hit .240 against 23 walks allowed

and their star pitcher is RHP but
16-1 1.36 ERA 150K 132.2 innings opp hit .175 against 21 walks allowed

They played against West Coast ball. Not saying they are not good, but when teams routinely give outs (SAC Bunts) to move runners and play small ball, ERAs and batting averages will be lower.

One thing to remember and I looked it up Arizona State had #5 schedule and LSU had #8.

We hate on them for schedule but we played ULL, McNeese, etc...
