Good to see Jesse Palmer getting a slight promotion.
Dude was solid last year.

Sean McDonough is, by far, the worst football play-by-play announcer in history. He calls the games like he's calling baseball, which is what he's best at doing.
He fills each broadcast with so much mindless drivel it makes me want to vomit. Rather than set up his color man, he goes on and on about meaningless crap for what seem like hours.
The man is awful.
Spielman doesn't bother me so much, but I think he would benefit greatly from working with a different play-by-play man.

I actually don't mind McDonough. I like him better than Musburger. I could be worse, it could be Pam freakin Ward.

Guess i'll listen to the radio broadcast during the game then.

Looks like I don't have to worry about people being quite while watching the game. Even worse those two are gonna be in Boone for our Halloween night game broadcast.

Glad I'll actually be at the LSU game...
They are doing the Halloween game too????

Found this little gem in the comments section. Tim seems insightful and a classy ASU fan.

Not to completely spin everything into a positive, I believe our fanbase could use some better football etiquette and quit beating our chest so much. I like it better when our fans are humble and remember where we came from, a la Jerry Moore. Some fans have let all this winning go to their heads and have become delusional in their thinking. That is all!

McDonough will, however, forever live in LSU lore for this jewel....
Like I stated in a previous post, baseball is his best sport. For football, the play-by-play man really needs to set up his analyst between plays to review what happened and talk strategy for the current down and distance.
He's stuck in baseball mode where there's so much dead time that you have to fill the void with mindless chatter. You don't need that in football, and he misses opportunities to dig into what's happening on the field with his endless chatty Kathy routine.

And I completely agree with him. I saw another comment...maybe have not been for that particular thing...but it said that a lot of the ones that beat their chests don't remember a time when we weren't winning like this...as in...they are band-wagon people
I also agree with that.
I also agree with that.

Appfan, there are many Tiger fans like that too. (Believe it or not)
I sat in that stadium many years when we stunk, and it was painful to watch. I do not take our success for granted and appreciate the success we are enjoying. Here's to hoping it lasts....
