there's no room for powerhouses. we learn to out think our opponent by playing Brown and Dartmouth

Who cares? It looks like an easy OOC schedule really hurt us last season.
while true (Seeing how you beat us). I must say I love watching Texas play all those great OOC games we do every year.
I would love to see us make LSU a yearly OOC rival like we do with Rice and Stanford.

yeah, it's too bad that there are no good teams from areas of the country where they can't play baseball in february, like Mizzou, Ohio St, or Nebraska. Why would we want to play them?

And Duquesne, and Harvard as of last year.

I went to the first 2 Nova games last year, the OOC games against in state teams and some SEC games last year. Besides that, its usually a snooze fest

When you think of the fans before the team that's when your program hits the bricks.

Well "RummelTiger" I honestly think it would be more beneficial as an early season home at home series than playing the likes of La.Tech, Centenary,NLU, etc. and I think it would be a hell of a recruiting tool for both schools.
Yes, "hancheye", because our baseball program has such a problem recruiting.

Again "RummelTiger" I personally am not one of those who is pissed that our football team is forced by the SEC to play Florida every year while some (SEC West) of the others get a free ride. Apparently you are one of those. Tell me, do you look in the shower before you enter?

Well, that's apples and oranges...
UF is in the SEC, I have no problem playing within the conference.
But, from a logical standpoint, I do have an issue with playing high quality OOC opponents during the regular season when we already have the SEC schedule to get through.
Now, from a fan's point of view, yes...I like the idea.

If you want to discuss your topic then fine, if you wish to know whom on here is a homosexual...then you may be on the wrong board.

more fans=more money dumbass.
Last i checked, that's one of the first things teams think about.
How many times do you hear about the "rent-a-wins" in football...
...the ridiculous selling of merch at any sporting event. The tradition fund. All that shite...

i think this is an issue in football, but not so much with baseball. Basketball is somewhere in between.
What's wrong with having the arms get tested earlier a little bit?

That's just it - they still get tested.
I look at the beginning of the baseball season kinda like Spring training.
You get live batters from opposing teams, work on hitting spots, get used to throwing some innings so that you're prepared for SEC play.
And, I'm not opposed to playing those teams, I just don't think it's necessary.

Just with concessions sales. LSU doesn't really care about that, though, because they've already sold out the box for the season and are already getting all the money they could get from ticket sales. LSU baseball is already loaded.

"If you want to discuss your topic then fine, if you wish to know whom on here is homosexual... then you may be on the wrong board". You missed the point RummelTiger, just asking if you were one of those who walks in fear, was not asking about your sexual preference although I must admit you have given me some clues. P _ _ _ _ !

Yet you're afraid to spell out pussy?
Not sure why you seem to be taking this personally...

i wish we would schedule at least one weekend series with a powerhouse every year.
yeah, the SEC is tough, but our OOC leaves a lot to be desired.
